You’ll find independent shops 4 miles away in the historic market town of Torrington, from where keen walkers and cyclists can join the scenic Tarka Trail.
You’ll feel right at home in this character cottage, thoughtfully furnished in contemporary country style, with original exposed beams and a bright open-plan living space. Relax in the cosy lounge on comfortable seating before the wood burner-effect electric fire. Keen cooks will find all they need in the spacious kitchen, with a roomy dining space, perfect for leisurely meals. Upstairs are a family bathroom and two lovely bedrooms: a king-size with a beautiful turquoise colour scheme beneath a vaulted roof, and a colourful twin. Outside, enjoy your private, enclosed garden with a lawn and patio seating. The large, shared garden offers indoor and outdoor play areas for tots and older children, and youngsters can help feed the animals – including alpacas and miniature donkeys – and enjoy tractor rides and egg collecting.
Explore Torrington’s historic Pannier Market and stop by the Plough Arts Centre with its cinema and theatre, to enjoy music, art and a great cafe. Torrington is also home is to the celebrated RHS Rosemoor Gardens with 65 acres set in a lovely valley. Spend a day on the 2-mile expanse of golden sands at Westward Ho! (10 miles) and treat yourself to a cream tea.
