6/10 Aceptable

3/10 stars. We thought we’d give it a try, but….. the same issues from previous reviews from a while back are still issues. 3 stars for clean sheets, plenty of nice clean towels, cute main floor and neat decorations. Furnished with just the right amount of kitchen and bath supplies. I think there needs to be transparency about the upstairs… the “preserved old wallpaper story” (which could probably by sealed for preservation) is falling off the walls and is a bit creepy. I realize it’s hard to keep dust and cobwebs out of an old house, but be transparent on this too and tell people it is a 200 year old house. Railing going upstairs about to fall off the wall. We had to block freezing drafts from under the doors and one hole in the wall that wasn't patched in the utility room from where something was removed. That little bit of sealing up air leaks helped maintain the temperature in the house better. The thick cobwebs between the windows and outer screens looked like the movie Arachnophobia. Still a loose kitchen faucet that is ready to fall off, my husband had to tighten it so it wouldn't get worse and be blamed on our stay. Slight smell of cat in the back laundry and kitchen area. No curtains on main living part of the house. The dead end road was nice, but not in the best neighborhood. The outside siding was dingy and looks run down. Had to make sure we had the right address as it is a stark contrast to the inside pictures. Lots of rooms need repainted.
