Booking was canceled in property’s own system without cancelling in hotels.com. Property never replied messages. Spent a lot of time to contact hotels.com to step in to resolve problem and get refund. The worst hotel experience in Japan. I don’t understand why the property cancelled my booking but didn’t issue refund in the formal way until I contacted hotels.com after failed to check-in. Why don’t you use hotels.com message box? Why don’t you cancel my booking and issue refund if you decided to cancelled? I still see my booking in hotels.com and you’re listing the room I booked on the date I was checking-in. I considered it as double sold. I felt like the property ‘said’ the booking is canceled but keeping my payment at the same time. Messed my plan up badly.
