"Clean and comfortable. Smart TV and modern furnitures. Great place and location. Upstairs is very warm when it’s sunny. The place is well equipped for a family; washing machine, kitchen etc. Love staying there! Wish there is an English Breakfast or Earl Grey option for tea instead of just peppermint or chamomile or green tea. Apart from that, it’s at the end of the cul de sac so it’s quiet."

"We LOVED our atay at Cosy Chalet. Loved the open plan area, kitchen island and can't beat a lovely hot fire for the added ambience. There was no fighting over bedrooms as all boast a double bed and similar in size. Seperate loo amd entry space handy. Everything we needed, super comfortable, lots of heat avaioable and a nice quiet street. Comms with the host a breeze, she wss lovely. I would thoroighly recommend. We all hope to come stay again."

"This was my second stay and it was perfect, we did the Tongariro crossing and the homes location to national park and surrounding walks and activities makes it the perfect option if you want something cheap. For the price it’s what you expect. It’s no luxury hotel but it has more then enough for what you pay for"

"The chalet was the perfect stay for us to explore Tongoriro National Park. The park turnoff was 15 minutes away. The National Park town has numerous dining options with a number of places that have incredible outdoor views. The turn is small and walkable and very safe and quiet! The chalet was well equipped with comfortable beds and also has great views of the surrounding areas and the volcanoes along with Mt Doom from Lord of the Rings! Our hosts were communicative and answered our questions...

"Unique property in off the beaten track town. Just what we were wanting and looking for. Maxine and Mike are wonderful hosts adding to the memorable experience. Minimal amenities in immediate town but all available in a town 15 minutes away."

"Property was quaint & quirky. Loved having the fire (essential for keeping property warm). There was no coffee plunger available but coffee so had to borrow from accross the road. Great position in town."

"The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake."

"This was our first ‘extended’ family trip. Eight of us in total, 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 2, 6, 9, 15). The house and outside area was fantastic and fit for purpose. There was plenty of room so we didn’t feel on top of each other. Fantastically stocked kitchen, has every utensil and pot you’d need. Enough beds/bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely big lounge area and the outside was a dream! Enjoyed the walk to the stream and the swing seat and see-saw kept the younger kids entertained. Lovely and...

"We arrived to find out our hiking trip was cancelled but Megan at reception was an asset at helping us adjust our plans. We were still able to stay and have a fabulous hike. The hot tubs are super clean and great after a long walk. The restaurant and fireplace are so inviting. Kash is the best server and made us feel at home. The food was also delicious. We had everything we needed. "
