Stunning Tower with garden and panoramic Pool 5 minutes from Todi - Sleeps 10

Torre Bertona is a charming historical building just a 5 minute drive from Todi, divided in three independent apartments that can accommodate 10 people in total. With beautiful views of this historical town, it boasts a peaceful location among olive groves, ideal for creative thinking, but is at the same time freeway-close and absolutely convenient for visiting central Italy. The largest apartment is situated on the higher floor: from its windows one can enjoy the splendid panorama of Todi as well as the countryside at the opposite end.
The apartment is composed of a big living room with a dining corner, sofas and TV, and two spacious bedrooms, furnished respectively with a double bed and two twin beds. An additional French bed can be provided if necessary.
The roomy kitchen, which faces the hill, contains a fridge with freezer and an electric oven. By the fireside, there is a commodious table for breakfast or lunch. In the bathroom, made of stone walls, a tall mirror reflects the oak trees bordering the street and the hills beyond them.
The two smaller apartments open directly onto the panoramic terrace. The first one features a living room with kitchenette, a master bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The second one has a living room with fireplace, dinong table and sofa, a master bedroom, a small separated kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Cots available.
The panoramic terrace is equipped with tables, chairs and umbrellas and divide into three separate areas belonging to each apartment, but can also be enjoyed as a common space for sunbathing and al fresco dining.
A gourgeous swimming pool is situated in the luxuriant garden, rich of roses and medicinal and aromatic plants.
The tower (Torre), transformed during the 16th century in a summer residence, belonged for centuries to a noble family who used to spend there the hot season.
The apartments are bright, elegant and finely decorated with attention to details, and can comfortably accommodate up to twelve people. You will enjoy the wide panoramic terrace with its old pergola, ideal for al fresco dining or for reading in a context of quiet and beauty, the beautiful swimming pool in the nice terraced garden with aromatic herbs and old roses, the fresh ground floor lodge and the Jacuzzi spa situated in the elegant relax room opening on the patio.
The community sporting center at Pontenaia (about 2 ml) offers tennis courts, a football pitch and other sport facilities. Some other tennis courts are in Todi, near the main Parking called Porta Orvietana. Horse riding is very popular and you can go to the Circolo Ippico Tuderte (2 ml) for horseback trekking or riding lessons. Torre Bertona is also part of the Tiber Natural Park and of 'Circuiti del Paesaggio' / 'Landscape Circuits' of Todi and a starting point for easy walks and horse trekking. From the historical nearby village of Pian di San Martino (0,5 ml) also starts a cycling circuit called 'Tevere ring' : the river Tevere (Tiber) is indeed very close to it, and a nice trip is the one to the river canyons.
