Cabin was very clean and well appointed. The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors seemed very friendly. Cabin was very pet friendly. Only negative was several of the neighbors allow their dogs to roam the neighborhood unattended. All the dogs ended up being friendly but caused concerns at first because our dog is always on a leash.

Great house! Pretty clean considering it’s pet friendly. New coffee maker would be great, the one there is tired. Some of the kitchen outlets did not work as well as the overhead lighting. Other than those minor things there was no issue and we enjoyed our stay.

The inside was of the cabin was clean but the bed was super springy. My wife and I had to sleep separate due to this.

I have never given a bad review, but this cabin missed the mark. The location is great! We’ve actually stayed in another cabin in that area before, but this cabin itself is lacking. The outside could use some sprucing up. The stream behind the cabin is wonderful, but the old lumber, wood, sawhorses and mess piled under the house looks awful.The charcoal grill is like one in a park. The inside of the cabin is okay. Not as bright as it looks in the pictures. There are light switches everywhere and it’s difficult to figure out what one turns on what light. Several lights had blown bulbs. The kitchen eating utensils were skinny tiny forks. If you want to cook breakfast, you need to take your own frying pan. The 2 there are small and everything sticks. There was no dishcloth to wash the dishes with. The master bed was not comfortable and we could never get the tv to come on in there. The good things about this cabin - location, neighborhood, stream, wildlife

This cabin checked ALL the boxes. Awesome vibe in the cabin and walk around the cabin to a creek and walk the neighborhood for fresh air. Absolutely loved it and would stay again next weekend! TY

Enjoyable long weekend getaway

Great location. Quiet neighborhood out in the country yet only than 10 minutes from West Jefferson. Cabin was small but very neat and clean. Especially enjoyed being able to sit by a fire beside the creek. Would stay here again the next time we vacation in the area.

Great Mountain House!

My family was in town to go tubing. The house was perfect for our needs. Clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the creek. Highly recommend.

Many places are geared towards high occupancy and sometimes it’s hard to find a place for a private getaway. Having two bathrooms was a huge plus! This is the second time we’ve stayed in this neighborhood at different locations. Amazing use of reclaimed log homes one after another. Absolutely beautiful!

10 Nights / 10 Nights Of Pure Relaxation

Cute log cabin, large washer & dryer, porches are safe for dogs, loud running creek, deer, lots of lights inside & out, clean, screened windows for fresh air, charcoal grill by creek, firepit, stocked kitchen utensils, looks secluded but isn’t, deep kitchen sink are just a few things I really liked.

Peaceful getaway

Enjoyed listening to the peaceful creek from the sunroom with the windows open and also the back deck. Nice firm queen bed slept great. Happy to see a step in shower and a comfort height elongated toilet. Sleeping loft looked good for younger visitors. Kitchen worked well, had pod and drip coffee makers. Wish we could have stayed longer. R&B, 70+ year olds

Great time away

Love the neighborhood and the coziness of the cabin. The rushing creek is fabulous. Aside from a few hiccups, we enjoyed our stay. The property manager was very responsive and helped resolve the hiccups quickly. The cabin was clean, but could use a deep clean. The bed in the master should be upgraded to a queen size.

The Home in the Woods

If you’re looking for quiet and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, this house is for you. The house was well stocked and just as advertised. We love the peace and quiet and sitting outside on the porch with a glass of wine in the evening. This is a wonderful comfy cabin, and we would certainly come back.

Great get away

It’s not a big cabin but was perfect size for two or four people to stay, the creek is right at the deck and we would just sit and listen to the water running. Quite neighbors and friendly, it was just like being in the middle of the woods alone. Deer everywhere, one came right up to the deck and when walking our dogs some about ten feet in front of us came across, the water in the house is ten times better than any bottled water, good and cold. Would stay again ❤️🦋.
