Perfect quiet outdoor getaway
We moved to Brooklyn a year ago from the Pacific Northwest and desperately missed wide open outdoor spaces. We also adopted a very anxious dog in December and we can only give her short walks on a short leash at home because she's so afraid of strange people and dogs, which are EVERYWHERE in NYC. This house and yard were PARADISE for us all. We both worked from the house on Thursday and Friday with no wifi issues, even when both of us had video meetings at the same time. And our Moxie girl was living her best life running around the yard on a long leash free from the threat of other scary people and dogs. We didn't get to paddle the pond but just viewing it and walking along its banks was such a delight. Our hosts were extremely responsive to all of our questions during our stay. Our only minor downside was the uncomfortable mattress in the primary bedroom on the main floor, but we'd stay here again in a heartbeat and maybe just bring a cushy mattress pad.

Thank you, Aja! We personally know the hardships of having an anxious dog... we had a rescue like this for almost 6 years (unfortunately she passed away in early 2023). I can imagine how hard it can be to find places to walk Moxie, especially in NYC. I'm happy she was able to enjoy the yard for those few days! I'm sorry the mattress did not feel comfortable to you. We have not had complaints from other guests, but will try to figure something out for your next visit ;)

Awesome holiday
We stayed for two nights. The house and surroundings were beyond our expectations. Every room is well decorated, clean and cozy. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. It has every kitchen appliance possible. The view from the dining room and the terrace is amazing. Special thanks to the host for extra attention given to her doggie guests. Our dog enjoyed sleeping in the doggie bed. It seems that it was very comfortable as well, because we got to sleep in and extra hour each morning before he was asking for his morning walk :) Communication with the host, Emilia was easy and prompt. She was very accommodating to our needs. We've been staying in vacation properties in the Poconos multiple times in the past, but this one is by far the most pleasant experience. We hope to come back soon and will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

Family Reset Vaction
We booked the house for our sons 17th birthday. So glad we picked this house. Very nice family home, has everything and much more that you will need. The lake view is beautiful, sit outside by the lake with your coffee and a book, the fire pit is perfect for smores. Just a great relaxing time with a view and the family.

Amazing getaway
We stayed for 1 night only for Thanksgiving, but the experience was amazing for 4 adults, 4 teens, and 1 dog. The outside firepit was very relaxing with a lot of wood. Beautiful house with everything available, including games for the teens. The owner Emilia was outstanding. We will come back next time for more nights.

Peaceful long weekend
The location was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the view of the lake and watching the wildlife in it. The house was very clean and everything was exactly as it appeared in the listing. We had a relaxing weekend with lots of fun family time. We would definitely go back again!

Most relaxing place ever
Amazing place. Clean and organized with all the little things that you would want available but forgot to bring. Owners very responsive, flexible, and helpful. First, let me start by the view over the lake/river is beautiful. The outdoor chairs were comfy and everything was thought of, hammocks, loungers chairs with arms, chairs with high backs. Kayaking and canoes were fantastic. Enough lifejackets for all sizes. My teen (who typically doesn't like to go out in the kayaks) said that he felt like he "was in the middle of a painting " and "I've never felt more peaceful" Beds were really comfy. There was enough of a range to find a soft one or a firm one. We didn't need the air conditioning, but really enjoyed the ceiling fans keeping air moving. Fire pit was great. They even had bug spray available (but we barely needed it). Would have like to do some stargazing, but it ended up being cloudy in the evenings. We can't wait to go back. Would give an extra 5 starts if possible.

Such a wonderful place to make memories with loved ones!
This was our first stay and it far exceeded our expectations. The property and house were stunning and immaculate. My 3-year-old had a blast. We caught bass and pickerel right from the yard! There were books, puzzles, kid games, DVDs, and apps readily available. When we arrived, the neighbors came over and were super friendly and helpful. We hope to go back again in the future!

Delightfully as advertised
Our family had a wonderful stay here; the property was as described: actual lakefront, private, quiet, roomy, pleasant, very clean, and thoughtfully appointed (even had doggie dishes and a leash, had they been forgotten at home, for example). The property owners were responsive and helpful. Neighboring homes are a nice distance away. No nearby factories or busy roads, no powered watercraft allowed on the lake, it’s a lovely rural setting (but not in the middle of nowhere, either: groceries and plenty of restaurants and fast food joints are within a 10-15 minute drive away). Looking forward to staying here again!

Perfect Property
My wife, our little pup and I had the pleasure of staying at Emilia's place this past weekend. The house itself was wonderful and really remarkably stocked. It is a pet friendly home and I was very impressed with how well pet travelers were thought of here. They have a large dog bed in the main room, dog toys where you walk in, and even a dog gate to block off any rooms or stairs if your dog is clumsy like ours. The kitchen was huge and stocked with anything you could possibly need to cook a full course meal or eat in. Plates, bowls, utensils, glasses, and an impressive amount of spices, coffees and teas. The living room was cozy, the basement bar area was fantastic, and the beds were comfy. Even though we didn't really luck out with the weather, the yard was still our favorite part. It was massive. Plenty of space for the dog the run around. The lake was great and the fishing was better, caught some large and small mouths, a couple pesky pickerel and a perch or two. Honestly haven't done that well fishing in a while. Long story short, book it, you wont be disappointed.

House by the lake
We were please with the location. It is surrounded by wooded areas and with several different spaces all providing privacy and tranquility. Inside it was clean and provided with all modern amenities but retaining the country feel that provides peaceful time with family. We were already discussing when to return and, this house, will be our first choice. We definitely recommend this house by the lake. Thank you to Emilia and Jarek...our hosts, for the opportunity to spend time at their place

Great family getaway!

Wonderful getaway!
We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this lovely lakeside house. The location is amazing, the house is great with everything you need in the kitchen, lots of space, a great outdoor deck, and we loved the fooseball table. The canoe and kayaks were great and it was easy to bring them down to the water. The place was very dog friendly and we appreciated the extra details such as the couch covers, dog bowls, dog bed, and toys. I highly recommend this property!!

Great stay, even better in person
We had 3 couples in total with our dogs and enjoyed the house so much! The property was just as described. The owner was easily reachable by phone and very accommodating. Location was great, 25 minutes to camelback mountain. Outstanding views of the lake! We will definitely be booking again for sure!!

Perfect Getaway
The house and property were beautiful! The house was very clean especially during COVID times. The house was cozy and slept 5 adults and 3 children. High chairs and baby gates were provided as well as children’s books, toys, game systems and dvds. The downstairs had a private bedroom with a half bath, with a foosball table and bar. It was immaculate! The house has an indoor fireplace (guests provide own logs). Along with a campfire and lounge chairs steps from the lake in which it was set up with logs ready for use. The property allowed lots of room to run around with a private and serene view of the lake. The outdoor benches and hammocks allowed lots of places to relax while watching the kids run around. The outdoor deck and propane bbq provided a breathtaking view of the lake and trees to view during sunset. We make a trip out to the Poconos every year and enjoyed this house very much! Emilia and Jarek were very responsive and quick with their responses. Any guest is lucky to stay here.

Awesome Anniversary Getaway!
My husband and I spent a week at this wonderful home... which is exactly as described. The house is extremely clean and organized. We rent in the Poconos almost annually and this property was immaculate! The property owners thoughtfully prepared for our arrival by readying the firepit with kindling so we could start out with a lovely fire by the lake.... something we enjoyed several evenings. The deck and outdoor furniture were clean and set out for perfect viewing of the lake. The house has one TV in the living room area but it's not live programming or a smart TV that I could see. We never did make the effort to set up some kind of a link to access Netflix or other apps because the host had so many DVDs that we'd never seen-- so we just watched those in the evenings. The home was stocked with staples like salt/pepper, liquid hand soap and a few other things which made it easy to hit the ground running when we arrived. Communication with the owners was always easy and they were very responsive to any questions. Overall, I give this home Five Stars for the attention to detail and terric location!

The property was very expansive with great access to the small lake for the dogs to play in. The house was well kept and stocked with the basic essentials to make our stay comfortable. They even had a few dog toys.

Amazing getaway!
The property is amazing! The house is very nice, cozy, and clean. It looks recently renovated and very well maintained. The yard though is really spectacular. Its almost like a private lake. We enjoyed having breakfast on the deck as it had a beautiful view of the lake. There were tables and benches next to the lake that were really nice to have lunch on when the weather was good. And there were hammock which were perfect for relaxing and reading a book. Overall, we had a really nice and relaxing weekend. The property manager was quick to reply to all our questions and its clear that they really take care of the house. There were items all over the house, like toys for the kids, binoculars, games, and kitchen appliances, that show that they really take into consideration the guests’ needs. We would love to go back again.

Great Stay in Tobyhanna
We spent a great weekend in Tobyhanna. The house was comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and plenty of space for relaxation. We had a great view of the lake and it is walking distance to the Tobyhanna state park trails. Enjoyed use of the wood fireplace inside, as the weekend was cold, and even went for a quick jaunt in the canoe! Would definitely recommend this house for your stay!

Just as advertised! Our Girls' Getaway Weekend was a memorable event!
This home was clean and comfy. Plenty of room for 5 of us to gather in the same space for prepping & eating meals, or hanging out in the living room with a roaring fire. We were fortunate to have a BEAUTIFUL fall weekend and spent many hours either on the back deck or by the pond enjoying the scenery. Even took the canoe out for a spin around the pond! The only thing we missed were extra hand towels for the kitchen & bath, so next time - yes, there will be a next time - we'll be prepared. A pair of binoculars would also be helpful to check out the wildlife as well. Thanks Emilia, for helping to make our weekend so much fun!

Excellent, Quiet, Getaway with Great View
This was pretty much, exactly what we were looking for... a peaceful getaway with a great view. Property was as described and very clean, with enough amenities and extras for a comfortable stay. The only things that can be added to make it better would be a King sized bed in one of the rooms and definitely WiFi. Overall though, a great experience. Thank you!

Excellent house
The house exceeded expectations. Some highlights: -Plenty of space across the bedrooms -Nice living room and downstairs game room -Ample kitchen/dining area -Great deck w/grill -Outdoor space large with excellent amenities (hammocks, fire pit, picnic tables) -Good amount of seclusion -Beautiful/quiet waterfront -Communicative and helpful hosts One thing to note is that water is more of a pond and fairly shallow (unable to swim, which you're told in advance, but even notable when boating). I strongly recommend the property.

Thoughtful amenities
Had a wonderful Father's Day weekend with my son and his two children. Enjoyed fishing and going out on the lake in the canoe and kayaks. The house was comfortable, the pictures don't do it justice. I really relaxed and enjoyed my family.
