This was an amazing experience! I will recommend this island a lot, please mind that the cost of food and transportation is high (due of course the location) but totally worth it.

We've never experienced such a kind and caring hotel stuff. The staff does everything to make your stay amazing :) The resort and villa was beautiful! Highly recommend trying their spa or daily activities, such as snorkeling!

A beautiful little island resort with all the bells and whistles - perfect for a mini break away from the bustle of Suva. The boat ride up the river past the villages and mangroves is part of the adventure.

Amazing place. You can see very quickly why people come here again and again. Extremely welcoming staff, beautiful peaceful location, no need for locks on the doors, great food, fun activities, family friendly. The list goes on and on. Highly recommended and we will for sure be returning.

Toberua Island Resort is one of a kind. We stayed here for 9 nights and each day gained more appreciation of how the island is run as it’s clear the guest experience top of mind. There are so many components that made this the relaxing get away we were looking for. The only music they play is live acoustic at lunch and dinner, I loved that. Each morning the grounds are cleaned by staff that we just started going totally barefoot at some point. The rooms are cleaned spotless and so architecturally authentic, beautiful and spacious. For lunch and dinner each day you get a set of options (a vegetarian option as well) that you choose in the morning & is prepared so when you arrive to eat, it is timely, fresh, and very delicious. The spa has a lot of options of massages, facials, hair braiding, manicures, just wow. Every evening you get a preview of the next days activities that you can sign up for including visiting nearby islands, kayaking, snorkelling, scuba diving, weaving (coconut tree leaves), which we signed up for all. There’s also kayaks, a sailboat, & paddle boards on the beachfront that you can take as you please (we kayaked every evening for sunset). The island is so quiet and serene that you hear the ocean waves and birds, just incredible. The staff are just the cherry on top, going above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. This resort is managed well and superb 👌. We definitely plan to come back and with a bigger group. Special place ✨🌴🐠🍹

RIDICULOUS AND UNTRUSTWORTHY! During our stay, we were told that there was a cyclone going around the island, thus we were “advised” to leave the island and evacuate to Suva. The main reason why was also because the resort would not provide any mean of transportation the next day, which we had our flight back home, therefore, we had no choice but to leave the island. Right before we left the island, we did double check at the front dest for at least twice to make sure whether the unused part of our accommodation would be refunded, and the answer we got from the staff as well as the owner was a positive “yes”. However, the resort later on ate their own words and insisted that none of their staffs as well as the owner had promised to refund, and kept explaining that the weather was simply just out of their control. In result, the resort refused to refund even though they had promised before and started to ask us to get remedied by our own travel insurance as they had nothing to do with it. Not to mention that the accommodation at Suva was completely coved by ourselves. In this case, we were advised to leave the island with no any other choices provided by the resort and received absolutely no compensation from the resort. We fully trusted the resort and left without any concerns regarding the refund, however, this whole thing turned out to be true LIE. Again, unfortunately this matter has become way more than a disappointment but a full SWINDLE.

We loved Toberua. It’s a secluded island with very beautiful views. The Bures are amazing, the staff are so kind and sweet and the food is amazing! Our only suggestions are - improving the WiFi, so that guests can stream movies etc. There is no TV in the room and so WiFi is crucial. And our other suggestion would be to tie up with a doctor service for when guests get sick - maybe a telehealth service? My wife got sick and had to take a boat ride car ride to the doctor. The staff were genuinely kind and really looked after us though, and they are what make this island special. We also want to recommend snorkeling as an activity - there are some magnificent reefs very close to the island and it truly was a highlight of our trip to snorkel at these reefs. All in all, we’d recommend the place.

What a special place! The staff was wonderful, the excursions were amazing and Apeli and Maans made us feel so safe and they looked after our kids so well. The food was amazing, they even made us gluten free biscuits and bread. The burres were beautiful and tidies by the staff daily. The trip to the village was especially wonderful, many of the staff members live there and it was so sweet to see them interact with their families, and the people from the village were so fun and the women were especially sweet with the babies and kids! I'm not sure what was more beautiful the island or the people! Probably the people:) Thank you Toberua staff, for making our trip such a memorable and special time for our family! We can't wait to return!

We just returned from celebrating my 50th Birthday at Toberua! Where do I start?! They arranged transportation from Nadi for us, arranged for a Beautiful cake and the entire staff singing happy birthday and private beach dining for my family (of 4) on my birthday, and even knew all of our names and referred to us by them throughout our stay. Everyday they came early with a delicious list of menu choices for lunch and dinner (including an amazing kids menu). The breakfast was always delicious, with fresh omelets or eggs, delicious fruits, and meant other items to choose from. Being able to walk right out from our bure and snorkel or kayak was amazing and the fish were beautiful! My 10 and 12 year old are already asking when we are retuning for another trip, and both girls made friends on vacation that they have remained in contact with.

This was without a doubt the best family experience of our lives. The food was top notch , the staff pampered us , the water activities were exciting. It was intimate and we stayed at the Villa which houses up to 10 people. We had our own private beach and we will come back at least every 2 years.

One of the most authentic experiences we’ve had ever. Toberua is a 4 acre island with incredible views, beaches, bures. Each and every bure is beautifully decorated and has ocean views and beach. It’s a small island with 16 bures. It has a very lush, intimate feeling to it where you have ton of privacy and chance to connect with staff and other guests. Toberua had one of the best meals we’ve had in Fiji. Amazing kitchen! Last but not least, amazing staff. Such kind and friendly people! Definitely recommended and we will come back.

We had an absolutely gorgeous stay on Toberua and will be returning as soon as we can. There were so many highlights - but most important to mention was the incredible hospitality of the staff at Toberua. We felt so well cared for every moment of our trip and were especially grateful for Villamina, who looked after our 1.5 year old. The excursions were lovely, as were equally satisfied with the days we stayed back on the island to paddleboard, lounge by the pool and read in the hammock. The food was beautiful, especially the lunches and dinners. Comfortable beds, lovely spa services and overall an incredibly restful week. Thank you!

The island is idyllic; peaceful and beautiful. The trips and activities are fun, interesting and relaxing. The food is delicious. The staff are exceptional; welcoming, kind, friendly, professional and excellent at their jobs across the island. The staff are what makes it such a fantastic stay.
