El Cuyo is a small village still spared from mass tourism full of coconut palm trees by the sea in Yucatan. El Cuyo is the only place that is overgrown with palm trees. On all other beaches, the coconut palm palms were eradicated by a plague, and it was no longer reforested. Not so in El Cuyo, here is still a perfect world!

The fully furnished with large beach terrace and many coconut palms surrounded house is ready for you at any time.
You can only book the ground floor with 2 separate bedrooms, plus a living / bedroom, shower room, kitchen for up to 8 people.
The penthouse with one bedroom, plus 1 living / bedroom on the 1st floor for up to 4 persons.

All the apartment's are completely independent, with separate entrances, beach terraces, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom.



Working in hotels in Cancun, we spend days off in Yucatan to enjoy the fabulous culture of Mexico, the city and mass tourism. One day we accidentally arrived at El Cuyo the driveway was a pinkish-red lagoon with flamingos .. going to the village, .. continuing past a Mayan pyramid on which a lighthouse is built. The streets in El Cuyo are made of sand and everywhere are coconut palm trees and fine white sand beach without the eye. We were delighted, and so every free weekend in El Cuyo, until someone offered us a small house for sale. At that time it consisted of only one ground floor. We immediately fell in love with this 'rough diamond' and renovated it with a lot of passion. We did not even think about renting a holiday home. Then we built the penthouse on the first floor and Casa Maya Lodge on the second floor.

Nestled between the palm trees on the 2nd floor a lodge built in the Maya style typical of the country (26m2 living area) with palm roof shower room, small kitchenette and beach terrace (24m2) 2 people.
We recommend this eagle nest lodge with fabulous sea view and the beach for adventurers and people who appreciate the simple and close to nature.


Activities: Watching flamingos, hiking, biking, diving, fishing, horse riding, sea turtles, dolphins, pelicans, etc., beach walks, collecting shells, building sand castles, Mayan ruins, caves.
