We had a great time there.

We had a great time there. I would certainly go back.It was good sized bungalow type place that was very homely. A good kitchen for cooking a roast with a good amount of utensils. Lovely fireplace with comfy sofas.Very comfortable beds in three bedrooms. The jacuzzi is a great feature and was great.The area is lovely for a good walk across farm lands with a nice small river running thru.Lots of good local farmhouse foods nearby too.We loved it there and would go back.

Excellent lodge to stay in. It is in the middle of nowhere though so be prepared to drive if you want pub / shop. But you get the pro’s of all the countryside around you - for miles to see! Would go back in a heartbeat! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had the most lovely weekend here for 6 of us.

We had the most lovely weekend here for 6 of us. Super peaceful and relaxing in the perfect location. With fresh eggs Ready on our arrival that tasted amazing. We will be returning next year. The only downfall was the fridge is a bit small. There was 6 of us for 3 days and we had planned to cook for us all while we were there but the fridge space was limited. Beds and the living room were perfect and cosy!! Couldn’t recommend Heather and the Goyal enought just the most perfect get away can’t wait to come back!! Lovely lodge, miles from anywhere.

Lovely lodge, miles from anywhere. Which is good as you are away from everything. No Wifi, if you want to escape life. Loads of places to walk and or cycle but lanes are narrow, and some of the public paths have not been maintained, so overgrown. Owner is lovely and very helpful. Amazing Retreat

Stayed for the weekend. My daughter wanted our family to all be together for her 30th birthday and it was just perfect from start to finish. Heather, the owner, was so helpful and friendly- nothing was too much trouble. The lodge was fantastic, beautiful location and contained everything we needed. The hot tub was great fun and the wine, flowers and (very) fresh eggs left for us were a welcome and appreciated treat. We also booked the cream tea which was also fantastic and very fresh with the clotted cream and a selection of jams. The location was just beautiful with views over the rolling hills. We went for walks, although the weather was against us, travelled to the local town and travelled to Exmouth for the day. Definitely highly recommend and hope to return one day soon.

We stayed at The Goyle for a family wedding, it is a stunning place to stay and the hot tub was a great addition, the kids loved being in there. Heather was a great host, she booked a reliable minibus for us to take to and from the wedding venue which was about 20 minutes away.

Love this place. Perfect to get away from it all. So quiet...yet isn’t too far to get to any attraction or the town. Everything you need for a week away and kids were never bored. Can’t wait to go back 😀

Heather the lodge owner is fantastic, nothing is to much trouble, the lodge itself is great as in the bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen area has everything you need, the living area is comfortable, the bathrooms are good, outside you have a lovely sitting area and hot tub. Been twice with family and the dog and we will go again.

We had a very good time.

We had a very good time. The cottage is very good. Good spacious cottage. We were 7 of us, the cottage is for 9, so maybe that had a part to play. The tub is private; so that is good. The owners are very helpful and friendly. At the same time non-intrusive. Lots of fields to see there.
