"The room was huge the bed was huge and so comfortable staff were so helpful sort out early booking in as we had a wedding to go to, breakfast was good we really couldn't fault the place"

"We enjoyed our stay here even though the room was very quirky with a very sloping floor. It was a good size though and well equipped. The four post bed looked good but wasn't that comfortable and quite small especially as my husband is 6ft 4. Best to stick to a different room. Staff were all friendly and helpful and parking outside was just £6 a day. The hotel is well situated within easy reach of bars, restaurants and shops etc"

"This place is quaint but not super welcoming. The cottage was cute but not the comfiest beds. We didn’t get a code to check in and didn’t realise the reception would be unmanned. The continental breakfast was a bit odd - self service without clear instructions. Wasn’t all put out at 8am and then a girl came and brought some more things. Had to make our own coffee. "

"I was given room 3 which was average and definitely not like the advertised photos or reviews, there was not hot water which happens, I was then given an 'up grade' to an upstairs room where the shower head was broken and the electric shower when set at medium went from cold to burning on its own, clearly faulty. Bed was very comfortable but the room was dated. Unable to offer comment on the breakfast as I had to leave before it started, 8am is quite late for midweek."

"A nice modern hotel. Clean and comfortable on a main road that will allow you to travel out to a bunch of different riding and hiking spots conveniently. Staff were friendly and as mentioned it was lovely and clean. Only recommendation would be to bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper and you happen to be in a room looking out on to the road. The windows are thick but seemingly not enough to block out noise from passing vehicles. "

"The room was very clean and tidy! Staff are very friendly, the breakfast is amazing very filling! And the parking is very easy too access but when there are a few guests staying the car park can get very tight, overall really good and best bit its only 17 mins drive too Alton towers from there "
