    OVERVIEW:

    This fully equipped log home features 4 bedrooms with a 3-piece bathroom on the upper level, and a 2-piece washroom on the lower level. The main level boasts a fully-equipped kitchen with a spacious dining area, a walkout from the kitchen to a deck with seating and propane BBQ. A separate TV room/private work space is located on the main floor with double doors for added privacy. The living room is also equipped with a second TV for separate viewing and an adjoining dining room offers seating for ten.

    LOCATION: Approximately 2 hours’ drive from the GTA on a sheltered bay inlet off Georgian Bay.

    Thunder Beach, Georgian Bay’s hidden gem, is a private beach area, offering dazzling white sandy shores and crystal clear water, perfect for swimmers and waders of all ages. Enjoy a backdrop of mature forested hills, amazing sunsets and unforgettable starry nights.

    This charming log home is nestled in a mature wooded lot, next to a picturesque, babbling creek. True serenity, with ample space for relaxed backyard lounging, outdoor barbeques and plenty of play area for the kids.

    The Friendly Corner, a full service licensed restaurant, is located 1 km down the road.

    WHAT THIS LOG HOME OFFERS:

    This fully equipped log home features 3 bedrooms with a 3-piece bathroom on the upper level, and a 2-piece washroom on the lower level. The main level boasts a fully-equipped kitchen with a spacious dining area, a walkout from the kitchen to a deck with seating and propane BBQ. A separate TV room/private work space is located on the main floor with double doors for added privacy. The living room is also equipped with a second TV for separate viewing and an adjoining dining room offers seating for ten.

    • Check-out before 11:00 a.m.
    • No smoking in the home.
    • Cancellation Policy: Free cancellation 30 days prior to arrival.
    • Government-issued photo identification required for booking as well as names and ages of all guests.
    • Onsite parties or group events are strictly prohibited without prior approval by the owner

    Thunder Beach offers a fantastic bay for swimming, boating, and all kinds of water activities. The local area is also home to many hiking and biking trails, as well as great fishing spots. The towns of Midland and Penetanguishene are just 15 minutes away and offer everything in the way of groceries, supplies and entertainment. Collingwood, Blue Mountain, Barrie and Orillia are both within an hour's drive if you feel the need to spend some city time. Whether you're looking for adventure or just want to relax and unwind, this home has something for everyone.

    ATTRACTIONS:

    • Awenda Provincial Park: Over 2,900 hectares of forested land with 31 kilometres of trails, an interior lake for canoeing, and 17 kilometres of backcountry ski trails in winter. (20 mins)
    • Winter: Just minutes from OFSC trail 303 for snowmobiling. Mountainview Ski Centre offers 35 km of groomed trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing (20 mins), Awenda Provincial Park (20 mins) has 17 kilometres of backcountry ski trails in winter. Mount St. Louis Moonstone is 45 minutes away for downhill skiing.
    • Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons: This world-renowned reconstruction illustrates the interaction of the French and Wendat nations. Visitors get a unique opportunity to see the earliest Canadian pioneer life, through guided or self-guided visits. (30 mins)
    • King's Wharf Theatre: Venue for live theatre. Nestled within Discovery Harbour on the shores of Georgian Bay in Penetanguishene, the King's Wharf Theatre is flanked by majestic tall ships and the historic buildings of a 19th century British naval and military base. (30 mins)
    • Golf: There are several golf courses in the area - White Pines Golf (10 mins), Midland Golf and Country Club (20 mins), Balm Beach Golf Club (15 mins), and Brooklea Golf and Country Club (25 mins) are all an easy drive from Thunder Beach.
