The house was fine. A bit tired and beds/sofas not very comfortable. Fire was confusing and difficult to light. Batteries in heat pump were flat, so couldn’t use it. Also no soap for the showers - but they did have shampoo and conditioner which was weird. But it was clean and suitable for a couple of nights. Check in was a major letdown and incredibly frustrating- to the point that I had almost booked something else as a backup. Bookabach site didn’t send the check in details, address wasn’t showing correctly and owners weren’t replying to any messages, as they were away. There should have been a better option, or owners should have checked we had the information before going off grid. I doubt we’ll use bookabach again as it was a very stressful couple of days.

Pretty good spot - cleaner needs a rev

The house is good and suited our needs. Unfortunately, it was a bit grubby, with a lot of dishes, cutlery, pots, etc in cupboards and drawers that were not clean, which was a little disappointing....we got over it and cleaned them and all was good from that point.

Beautiful Timaru

Our stay in this property was great. Communication with our host was very responsive. We enjoyed our time there and very much appreciated how well our host made our stay very welcoming. We had no issues with anything or anyone during our stay. I guess if you show respect you will receive respect. The home was very warm and comfortable. We have 2 Sons and they are not small so the sleeping arrangements suited us all perfectly. We would have loved to have woken up to a Coastal Scenery, but who are we to complain. We had a roof over our heads and that is all that matters. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking for comfort and warmth. Oh My Gosh the fireplace was so lovely. I want one in my home. I would be booking there again if we ever go back. Thank you so much to our hosts for letting us rent your home.

Rest and relaxation

We really enjoyed out stay. Although it was only 2 nights the spa really helped us feel like it was a holiday, the location was so close to everything and we also just stayed in on the Saturday and relaxed back on the big lounge suite and binged Netflix. Would definitely return.

Okay but not great

Quiet location, massive size of apartment but a bit shabby. Oven, range hood and cutlery draws dirty. No washing machine, sofas worn and no cushions. Cobwebs on all windows. Needs a bit of a spruce up in general but fine for 2 nights.

Nice spacious house.

Nice, spacious duplex house. Great kitchen and well stocked with utensils and pots/pans etc. owner helped efficiently when TV was not working. Note the house has 2flights of stairs with hand rail on one side. neighbour can be a bit grumpy for very little reason. Pleasant stay.

Large, clean, comfortable and quiet suburban property

Greeted by a steep, narrowish driveway with limited parking but that didn't worry us. Took a while to work out the door code but once we did it was no problem from then on. The interior was roomy and perfectly adequate for our needs. the only drawback was that the spa motor came on every 2 hours for about 10 minutes through the night disturbing the lightest sleeper of our group, even though we didn't use it.

Way down the long drive to a back section. Apartment is 3 stories high be aware lots of stairs The owner who is a stickler for rules, and who lives just through the wall from you, will growl at you should any rule be not adhered to. Extra cash payments needed to use the spa. Suited our needs for our Timaru stay
