"This is a nice ‘Bach’ type apartment with a lovely view over the nearby hills. Inside it was clean and had good amenities. It is part of a building used for art and craft , the ‘frost and fire’ gallery. Unfortunately while we were there the kiln shed next door was in use, which meant the occasional whiff of smoke from the kilns when the wind changed direction, and sound and voices coming from it throughout the first night as it was being used. "The apartment has a magnificent view over the harbour and surrounding water. The location is very central and their is a wonderful restaurant (the Boat Shed) within 200 metres. Everything in the apartment works, all of the appliances are relatively new and the bed is comfortable. We anjoyed eating out on the balcony most nights. (we stayed for a week). On the negative side, the apartment is dated, lots of wood panelling and a purple bathtub."

"Very comfortable and spacious home, immaculate and beautifully appointed with every amenity. No details overlooked, especially in the bathrooms (heated floors, lighted mirrors, etc). Jonathon was an excellent host and incredibly responsive. Very nice, central location for the northern region. Quick 10 minute drive to Nelson, but also some great restaurants and shopping nearby in Richmond itself."

"We enjoyed our stay in Nelson, the space was comfortable for 6 adults, and the view was lovely. Well equipped kitchen even though our stay wasn’t really long enough to cook much more than simple breakfasts. I would say that we didn’t really consider it walking distance to town, given that it was straight up/down and we are all fairly fit people. Carrying groceries or supplies would have been next to impossible. That said, we had a car so it wasn’t an issue, just a note for future guests. "
