"Booked Brook Hall for a stag weekend of 12 guys, which Edward was happy to accommodate. It was a fantastic base while we spent most of our time out and about in York (20 - 30 minutes away) and Leeds (30 - 40 minutes away). Thanks for the recommendation of Dougies taxis as well, this was really helpful and they were great with really friendly drivers. Lovely location and house, particularly the garden. "The property was nicely finished and whilst small, we knew that and it was perfect for our family of 3. The living and kitchen area is one space but the high ceiling helps give it a sense of size. The area the cottage is located in, the grounds of Middlethorpe Manor and hotel are nice too. The cleaners were still there when we arrived 45 minutes after our started arrival time. "Location was great. Walking distance from the main line railway station and easy access to town centre. We walked everywhere and didn't need our car. There is plenty of parking space in front of the house for a car or large mpv. There is a small supermarket just a few minutes walk down the road as well as a selection of great restaurants nearby. The house was clean and well decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. Beds were very comfortable!We enjoyed our stay."

"We had a lovely stay in this heritage property in York. Check-in was easy and all communication with the hosts was timely and friendly and helpful. The house is in a great location. We did not have a car and easily walked or took city buses to/from the train station and attractions.
