"The General's Cabin was a wonderful place for my husband and me to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. The cabin was exceptionally clean. Melissa had thought of everything you could possibly need. Inside had a well-stocked kitchen, a great coffee/tea bar, lots of little extras to make the stay enjoyable, extra towels, blankets, pillows etc. In the bathrooms there was a basket of soaps, lotions, shampoos and even toothbrushes in case you forgot to bring your own. "Thanks, David for the great week at your home. What we loved about the property was the direct lake access, plenty of room for our family (6 adults, one toddler, 2 pups) . The beds were comfortable, central air only needed our first day, and the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. We spent a lot of time on the deck, enjoying the view of the lake, and the fire pit was perfect for a cool August night. The carpets are a bit worn with some stains, but easily overlooked. "The space is perfect for large groups, we had 13 people. The top floor was the best place to hang which allowed people to be able to peel off and have some time to themselves when they needed. It’s just under a 10 minute walk to downtown, check out Lucy’s Bar and The Misfit.
