We stayed for one night in mid October. The house was clean and comfortable. The property was beautiful, and had a nicely mowed path for hiking. It was so quiet and peaceful. We biked from Beulah to Frankfort on the Betsy Valley Trail which was also beautiful. The house is in a good location being close to multiple towns. The owners were great. Would recommend and stay again!

As my sons entered the home, they quickly reported back to me, "a combo of rustic and modern with spacious rooms!" I agree. We only needed an overnight stay so didn't use the kitchen much, but it appeared to be very well equipped. Only caveat to consider is if anyone in your group is elderly and/or has balance or other problems - know that each room floor does not match the level of the next room, so one must be alert. This was a clean,quiet, peaceful place with everything need and more!

This property is generally located near the areas we set out to enjoy. Alot of beautiful West Coast towns that are an absolute must see like Buellah , Frankfort, Traverse City , Suttons Bay and more.

Rustic Retreat- Thompsonville

Excellent stay at the Rustic Retreat! The property was secluded and private. The home was spacious with a lovely window wall overlooking the yard. Frances was very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the stay.

I stayed here for three absolutely perfect weeks this summer. The location was the perfect spot for exploring and the setting couldn’t be more beautiful. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything I needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to reliable Wi-Fi. Fran was an excellent host—helpful, responsive, and welcoming. This stay truly felt like a home away from home, and I left already planning my next visit. Highly recommended!

Clean, quiet and cozy. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. We came to the area to play golf in Arcadia. This property is a 15 minute drive to Arcadia Bluffs!

Already booked another stay the day we left. Love all the amenities. No issues at all. Beautiful setting! Very accomodating hosts. Can't say enough good things!
