The cabin & entire property were beyond our expectations! It was very clean, fresh-smelling, & well-stocked with paper products & kitchen essentials, including everything you would need to cook a full meal. There are both a charcoal grill, & a kettle-style grill to cook over a campfire, as well as a fire pit which is as charming as it looks in the pictures. There is a full-size refrigerator, a Keurig for coffee & a toaster. The main bed was very comfortable. We did not use the two loft areas but they looked like a great fit for kids. If more than two people were to stay there, you would need to plan for anyone needing the restroom at night to have to enter the master bedroom. The outside deck has both upper & lower areas, which are lit by a string of cafe lights. Very nice, sturdy outdoor furniture is on both levels, overlooking the lake. Both levels are perfect for AM coffee or PM wine. The property is very secluded & quiet, & using the Merlin app I was able to ID the calls of more than 20 different birds, including wild turkey, quail, meadowlark and others. It is an easy drive to town (13 min) & we enjoyed several local restaurants. Downtown Thomasville is delightful with lots of shopping & a distillery that was a fun visit. The host, Nicole, was extremely responsive & prompt with all communications. The check in process was very easy after she helped me with a password issue (error on my part) & check out was smooth as well. We are already planning our next visit!
