This property was very clean and the pool sparkled. I was hesitant to book based on otber reviews, but so glad we did. We loved the property and location. Would definitely rent this one again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at this rental. The location is perfect. Sunsets perfect. House well equipped with what you need. Only downside is the pool is not heated and having the option to pay for the heat during January and February would have made this the best rental ever.

Perfect!

This house is absolutely beautiful. We had such a great week, beautiful weather, beautiful sunsets and a great location. The heater to the house pool was not working and too chilly to use, but the Hadley pool was right around the corner. We met a lot of nice people at the pool. Our only disappointment is this house is not available next October. We would love to stay here again next October, we are very sad. Loved our stay here very much!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This a comfortable, well equipped house conveniently located to all amenities. The pool and lanai area are spectacular and the glassed in sitting area was an added bonus. Regrettably, the pool is not heated. Even with the outside temps in the high 80's, it remained quite cool. On cloudy days it was basically unusable. That's a shame.

Nice Pool Home in the Villages

The home was spotless on the indoors. The pool was beautiful, but filthy. The filter wasn’t on and the water was stagnant. There was black mold down the waterfall rocks and the entire pool was green with algae. We went swimming and my husband contracted an eye infection. The property manager was helpful and since we stayed during a holiday week, they couldn’t have the pool cleaned until later in the week. We couldn’t swim in a clean pool until our last day. We were so disappointed and this ruined our vacation. The home is lovely, but we paid a lot for a clean pool and we should have arrived to a clean pool on day #1.

Problems

Dirty floors, dirty windows, dirty bathroom sinks! We hired a cleaning service to clean it up No hot water in the bathroom sinks! Limited T V available, could not use the fireplace! Water heaters on the roof to heat the pool broken. Roof covering over the outside above the pool areas torn and leaking badly when it rains. Had to get the maintenance people in to clean the bathroom sinks and change the water filter on the refrigerator. Master bathroom toilet would not stop running need to replace the flapper. For the amount of money we paid we surely did not get what we paid for!!!

Fantastic The Villages Location & Fabulous View

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we really enjoyed our stay in the property. The location in general was excellent, the view is just to die for. Dealing with the management company was fine up until we got to the home, but from that moment on all we got were automated text messages and essentially radio silence. The garage door is broken, we called the weekend number twice to notify them, no one showed up for the whole week. The hot tub was not getting hot until the pool maintenance people came for regular maintenance 4 days into our stay, and finally the BBQ was unusable. I will add though, that the house was very clean, well stocked and the beds and furniture were very comfy.Next time we come to The Villages, we'll look for a different property.

Beautiful House

Everything was wonderful except for ice maker didn't work and hot tub wasn't working. Inside area close to pool had a terrible odor but if outside doors were opened it eventually eased up. House could have used more than one garbage can in kitchen. Also no hooks in bathroom to hang up things. Other than that house was fantastic . . pool was marvelous and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The staff at Down Home Properties value their clients and stand ready to accommodate your needs. The only NEGATIVE is the second King bedroom mattress is ENTIRELY TOO HARD. A good nights sleep on this bed isn’t fourth coming.

No pool heat...

Our only issue was that the pool heater was not working so we didn't get to enjoy a lazy day or two just floating around as it was only 68 degrees (too cold for us).

Review

The house is very nice especially the lanai and golf course view. Unfortunately during the stay the dryer quit working so we were not able to do laundry. The master bed was comfortable but the second king bed was very hard. Overall the stay was very nice.
