My mom and I had such an enjoyable stay at Shangrila Condo at Sandy Hill Bay Condos. Each day we enjoyed watching the sunrise from the balcony. After making coffee and breakfast in the condo kitchen, we spent mornings by the pool, and the other guests/owners staying at SHBC that we met there were so nice and welcoming. Many had been coming to this location for 10+ years! In the afternoons, we explored nearby beaches, and all were beautiful. Most evenings we cooked dinner at the condo to save on expenses. The unit has all the pots/pans/dinnerware you might need. The supermarket closest to the condo has a nice gluten-free section and organic milk and eggs, but a little light on fruits/veggies. We were able to supplement by stopping at other markets. Also, don't panic at the prices on the shelves, which are in Eastern Caribbean Dollars. You may pay a little more because it's an island, but we still found it cheaper than going out to eat. We did eat out one night at the Straw Hat Restaurant on Meads Bay, which was very nice and right on the beach. Another night we stopped for takeout at Ken's BBQ, which was delicious! We planned quiet and peaceful evenings for reading. You might bring along a DVD to watch if you like. We were able to stay up-to-date via the included Wi-Fi, which worked very well, with just a minor outage the last 24 hours. The queen-size bed is soft and comfortable, and the A/C is quite powerful. Christine (owner), Elaine (car rental), and Joyce (housekeeping) were so very welcoming, and we hope to come back to stay again soon.
