"I loved this place. When I go to England, I enjoy these smaller, transformed hotels much more than bigger ones and Hand and Spear has been the best. The room I got was spacious with ample wardrobe space and beautiful decor. The bath was insane with a beautiful claw foot tub. I’m very self-sufficient when I travel so I don’t expect a room made up each day but I’m sure they would accommodate you and they quickly brought extra towels when I asked. The thing is…my room had food and a little fridge...

"The Mitre is an exceptional hotel, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was amazing, served in a gorgeous area overlooking the river. The location couldn’t be better; you are in an out-of-the-way part of London with small village charm. "The property is beautiful as was the room, unfortunately the tranquility was visual only. Loud music from pub was all afternoon until approximately 8 pm, and then we could still hear customer conversations. The next day was quieter but still was able to hear the restaurant customers. No sheers on window and because there is campground across the river we kept drapes closed for privacy, creating need for artificial lights. Be careful in shower, it’s beautiful but the shower floor is slippery. ...
