"Stayed here two nights while hiking the South West Coast Path. The owners were nice enough to accept and hold a parcel for me, with the stuff I didn't want to carry every day while hiking. Nice airy room, very comfortable bed and bedding. The fridge in the room was very much appreciated. "

Wir waren äusserst angenehm überrascht, da wir an diesem sehr touristischen Ort nicht viel erwartet hatten und sowieso sehr überrascht waren, dass wir so kurzfristig noch ein Zimmer buchen konnten. Das Zimmer war eher klein, aber sehr herzig mit eingeschränkter Meersicht. Das Bad war neu renoviert und der absolute Hammer! "We stayed as a group of friends for the one night only on a motorcycling tour of Cornwall. The Pub was tired and obviously a locals pub. The room was off the courtyard and again was very tired and would not have wanted to stay in winter as I would imagine it would be very cold. The shower worked well. There was a kettle and coffee but we decided against drinking coffee as the inside of the kettle was very old and covered in black scale! It served the purpose but would not stay there again"

"A very clean and comfortable inn, but not a truly good hotel. The staff, while very nice and helpful, are not available much of the time, the location is somewhat far from the city center and there is no bus service, only taxis which do not operate all the time…I felt the place is truly an inn—mostly a bar/limited restaurant with some nice rooms to let…For guests with their own cars, I’m sure it is far more satisfactory. "Wunderschöner Rückzugsort. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß und schön. Es gibt kein Frühstück im herkömmlichen Sinne, sondern im Zimmer ist eine kleine Küchenzeile und man kann sich selbst dort Toast und Kaffe machen. Butter, Marmelade und Obst sowie Saft und Milch sind vorhanden. Für eine Nacht war es für uns perfekt."

"Lovely Easter break! The 'Owl' room was ideal for the four of us, as has bunks for the kids & a fabulous super-king bed. Superb Breakfasts & Sunday roast served by hosts Dave, Jackie & their team. 5 min drive from St Ives, didn't cause us an issue. This is quite a remote spot so would need a car as not much within walking distance. Excellent base for touring the extreme 'Pointy end' "

"I booked this hotel around 2 months before for the last weekend of July to spend my birthday in Penzance. They called me when we were arriving from Cardiff (almost 4 hours journey) to tell us that they have to cancel our 2 nights due to fire alarm test without any compensation, just that they are very sorry... Clearly an excuse, probably they overbooked, so we had to try to find something in July for that same night, when everything was full or overpriced! It was an amazing birhday present... 😒"
