"Our stay came after an 18" snowfall and near 0F cold in historic Collinsville, so we were concerned about our late arrival, parking, safe walkways and a warm home. What we found were shovelled and treated walkways, a freshly plowed parking space, lights and heat on and a lovely home on the banks of the frozen Farmington River. Coming from Texas, we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome to Connecticut.Carol's 1860 home is nicely furnished and spotless. Crisp bed linens and oversized...

"Lovely home. Beautiful views of the surrounding area. Very homey. Comforable.. Very convenient to the wedding venue (Stissing Restaurant). I confess that the extensive taxidermy collection was a bit more pronounced than shown in the pictures, but we got used to it and then it was part of the charm. "
