Kozy Kuona Cottage

The profiles & pictures really dont do this place justice. From mornings w/Mother deer & her baby doe, beautiful birds singing & cute little cotton tail bunnies prancing. To serene & silent nights eclipsing view w/the city lights & star lights in a sympathy of serenity. Our group came back from wine tasting & supper in Paso Robles when we saw a satellite from SpaceX debri re-enter the atmosphere. I was spell bound; the moment seemed to last longer than just a couple seconds. The debri streamed across the night sky from south to north like a red & orange fireball falling across the atmosphere disappearing into the event horizon like lighting catching up to thunder it was gone in a blink of an eye.These experiences like expressed above at Kuona cottage are what makes it great. The quiet simplistic pleasantries of life create a positive life perspective. Mix in friends & family; The memories we’ve made here i am beyond blessed to bare forever. Till next time: -yyr

Stunning Sunrises & Night Skies

From the moment I booked until we left, our host could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The property is beautiful. I enjoyed waking up to watch the sunrise with my coffee and seeing the resident llama and sheep, along with their babies, saunter by. I even spotted a few deer! If I am in the area I would 100% return. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Amazing experience

Hard to describe how incredible the cottage is. The property itself is built and fitted to the highest standards, and set in the most stunning of locations with incredible views. Perfect choice for getting away from it all and just spending time relaxing. There are vineyards everywhere in the area and plenty of other coastal and inland places to visit. The owners could not have been more helpful and really made the stay one to remember. Definitely hope to return one day.

One of a kind stay!

Inviting, so thoughtful with regards to providing small items like coffee and olive oil. Breathetaking views, especially the stars at night. The llama and sheep were enchanting! Great place! Would stay over and over again. Korrin and Clive were amazing hosts, filled with great suggestions about the town and so kind!

Strawberry Moon Retreat

Perfect getaway for attending a 70th Anniversary Party. Loved the tranquil setting with so many animals nearby. Spent evenings on the back patio with a full moon filling the sky. Cottage interior extremely welcoming. Beds comfortable, towels luxurious and kitchen well maintained. You don't come here to watch TV, so having a small one didn't matter.

Breathtaking

Amazing hosts. Clive and Karrin are simply wonderful people. And Kuona Cottage... imagine looking 360 degrees from an elevation and seeing nothing but a horizon of spectacular rolling California hills and plots of green vineyards. Its breathtaking. The cottage is clean, bright, simple and lovely, and all super close to Templeton and amazing wineries. We'll be back.

Incredible Location with an Endless View

Loved the place. Loved the hosts. Loved the deer that walked past the back porch every morning at coffee time. The visit to AmByth Winery just next door was especially memorable. Can't wait to come back to this perfect place.

Scenic, Serene and Clean

This property was exactly what we were hoping for. It is modern and comfortable with great beds and relaxing views from every window. It is wonderfully quiet at night! You feel like you're miles away from everything but it is just a short, pleasant drive to wineries and stores. Although sunny, the weather was cooler for our stay so we enjoyed the ambiance of the fireplace which also warms up the place very well too. The mornings were a little too chilly to sit out on the deck but the many windows allowed us to stay warm inside and still enjoy the beautiful views. As it was a little warmer in the evening, we did get to sit out on the deck and enjoy a glass of wine. Karrin and Clive were friendly and available if we needed anything, which we did not. We will definitely try to stay here again when in Paso Robles. Thank you Karrin and Clive for our relaxing break from work and the daily routine!

A fantastic getaway!

We loved the serenity of this hilltop retreat. Gorgeous views from every window and peace and quiet! Only a 30 minute drive to the coast and plentiful vineyards at nearly every turn! Clive and Karrin are wonderful hosts!! We loved our time here!!

Paradise in Paso

From the moment we entered the gate at the top of the hill, our stress level diminished, and we felt nothing but peace and calm. The gorgeous property and well-appointed cottage set the tone for our vacation getaway. Karrin and Clive were the consummate gracious hosts who took the time to recognize our 30th wedding anniversary. This gesture was so thoughtful. We also made use of the local wine, honey, coffee, and olive oil! Although it rained on certain days, the comfort of the cottage made us feel warm and cozy. The chef's kitchen afforded us the opportunity to cook some delicious meals. Some locations we visited: Pier 46 – took home sea bass for dinner; Trader Joe’s; Main Street Templeton; BL Brasserie, a must; 1122 – Speak Easy; walked around the PR square, Hearst Ranch Winery, watched the elephant seals, ate at Linn’s in Cambria Village, and took in the flora and fauna on the property. Thank you Karrin and Clive for a lovely time! We shall return!

Loved everything

We loved everything about our stay. The location was perfect since we wanted something out of town. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and offered the perfect amount of privacy and quiet. The host was very helpful as we planned our trip, and then so communicative and nice while we were there. We really hope to come again. Highly recommend.

A bit of heaven

Thank you Karrin & Clive for sharing your lovely property with us. This is by far the nicest VRBO rental I've ever stayed in. It's gorgeous, secluded, spacious, I could go on and on. Love how you decorated and also appreciate the high end touches, from the linens and towels to the kitchen amenities. Also thank you for the gifts you left for us. Eating breakfast on the back porch each day enjoying the view was one of my personal highlights. Hope to be back in the future.

Pinch Me / Spring Break

Our little family stayed 5 nights here for Spring Break. We needed to rest, and cut away from our routine. The cottage offers more than a comfortable dig! It is an oasis. We were able to enjoy as soon as we dropped our bags. It is well furnished, super clean (important to me), the kitchen is stocked with everything you need (including knifes that actually cut), beds were very comfortable, and there is ample space to unpack. Every morning, we watched the sunrise, and marveled at the dew drops clinging onto the wild flowers. Deers, cottontails, and turkeys were fun to observe. We also enjoyed the company of Max the cat. Our plan was to set out East to catch a glimpse of the spring blooms on Carrizo Plain. The drive is truly scenic at this time of year, and the blooms did not disappoint either. Wine tasting was part of our trip, but we had to keep it interesting for our 6 year old. So we wandered and discovered Paso Robles, walked by the river, went to a museum/park, and investigated around the cottage. Karrin and Clive had great pointers and recommendations for food too. Their directory was complete and did not miss a detail. We celebrated with a feast at BL Brasserie on our last evening, and were able to speak French with the staff. Our heads a filled with memories. Thank you Karrin & Clive for your hospitality, and for sharing your wonderful space. We would love to come back.

This is definitely the nicest place I've ever stayed with VRBO: over and beyond what we expected. Every detail seen to, the view fantastic, we felt like we were in Northern Italy. Can't recommend it more highly.

The cottage is amazing! There aren't enough good things to say about it. The views from the top of a hill are idyllic; the surroundings are serene; the location is perfectly situated to get anywhere easily; the hosts are SO warm. The list could go on.

Nice quiet getaway!

This property was tucked back in the country...which is what we wanted - very serene. The owners were very thoughtful and provided several treats including birthday cupcakes! Very clean, well-stocked home. Comfy beds/bedding. We were cool in 100+ temperatures this past weekend. Templeton is cute and very close to the wineries we visited. Also a quick drive to the coast for some beach time and shopping/eating in SLO. Communication was prompt and helpful - very friendly. Great experience and highly recommend. Thank you!

Wonderful view with great hospitality

We celebrated our anniversary with friends at Kuona Cottage. It was exactly what we wanted and perfect for our stay. The deck kept with great expansive views over dinner, the bocci court added some friendly competition, and the mornings offered great sunrises with peace and quiet over coffee. Karrin and Clive were great hosts providing basic soap/shampoo/conditioner (great for when flying), local honey, olive oil and coffee. House was clean and well maintained. Drive to wineries is anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on where you go, but is an easy drive.
