The Space:
The property accommodates up to 10 guests across the main residence and a connected self-contained ground-floor apartment, offering an ideal arrangement for families or groups traveling together who value both time together and added privacy.

Casa de Colores — the House of Colors — is located in the heart of Beach Town, away from construction. With one of the highest viewpoints in Beach Town, this unique home offers an unforgettable setting for a Costa Rican getaway, with the beach, restaurants, shops, and miles of hiking and biking trails all close at hand.

Open-Plan Living & Outdoor Dining

The main entrance level features a bright, open-concept living space filled with natural light from large windows and terrace doors. The vibrant kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and everything you need to prepare meals at home.

Gather around the kitchen island and breakfast bar, with seating for four, or enjoy a meal at the dining table, which comfortably accommodates eight guests.

The inviting living room features two sofas, an armchair, and a Smart TV — an ideal spot to unwind after a day at the beach or spend a relaxed evening together.

Step outside onto the adjoining terrace, one of the home’s favorite gathering spots. Take a refreshing dip in the private plunge pool, enjoy the waterfalls, relax in the shade, or stretch out on a sunny lounge chair. A conveniently located BBQ grill makes outdoor cooking and al fresco dining effortless.

Bedrooms & Private Balconies

The self-contained ground-floor apartment has its own private entrance directly onto the streets of Beach Town. It features a king bedroom, a private bathroom with shower, a well-equipped kitchen, and an open-plan living and dining area. The tenth guest sleeps on the sofa bed in the apartment’s living room. This flexible layout offers the independence and privacy of separate living spaces while keeping everyone conveniently close. The main living area of the house is 20 stairs up from the apartment.

The second floor features two bedrooms and a shared bathroom.

The queen bedroom has a charming Juliet balcony overlooking the picturesque stone-paved street below. The second bedroom is designed with families in mind, featuring bunk beds and a trundle bed to accommodate up to three guests.

Just off the upstairs foyer, a shaded ocean-view balcony with a porch swing offers a peaceful place to read, enjoy a morning coffee, or simply take in the surroundings.

The third floor is dedicated to the master suite, featuring a king bed and a walk-in closet. The spacious en-suite bathroom includes a double vanity, a deep soaking tub, and a shower.

Another shaded balcony, furnished with comfortable, oversized chairs, offers beautiful ocean views alongside a distinctive perspective of Las Catalinas’ landscape and renowned architecture.

The highlight of Casa de Colores is its spectacular rooftop terrace, the highest viewpoint in Beach Town, where comfortable seating for ten guests invites you to take in sweeping panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the Catalinas Islands, and the distinctive rooftops and architecture of Las Catalinas.

Start your day with coffee overlooking the ocean, unwind in the afternoon sun, or gather with family and friends for sunset happy hour as the sky transforms into a spectacular display of color over the ocean and islands.

And the magic doesn’t end when the sun goes down.

On clear nights, the rooftop offers a wonderful setting for stargazing beneath the tropical sky. On other evenings, you may witness distant tropical storms rolling across the horizon, their flashes of lightning illuminating the ocean and night sky.

Whether you’re savoring a sunset, sharing drinks with friends, admiring the town’s remarkable architecture, watching the stars emerge, or simply soaking in the views, the rooftop is a place you’ll find yourself returning to day after day.

A Note About the Stairs

Casa de Colores is arranged over four floors, with additional stairs leading to the rooftop’s highest viewing area. There are 76 stairs from the apartment level to the highest point of the rooftop. Guests should be comfortable using stairs throughout the home.

Las Catalinas is a charming Mediterranean-inspired coastal town, surrounded by tropical forests, beautiful beaches, and spectacular ocean views. Its pedestrian-friendly streets, plazas, and nature-filled spaces create the perfect setting to enjoy Costa Rica’s relaxed lifestyle.

You can enjoy the Beach Club, which features three swimming pools, a restaurant, and an indoor gym. You can also visit Center of Joy, where you’ll find another indoor gym, yoga classes, fitness sessions, and a variety of wellness experiences.

For outdoor enthusiasts, Las Catalinas offers an extensive network of trails for hiking and mountain biking, with beautiful viewpoints and opportunities to explore the surrounding nature.

At Pura Vida Ride, you can rent bicycles and water sports equipment, including kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling gear. The beaches are ideal for swimming and enjoying a variety of water activities.

You’ll also find a variety of restaurants, cafés, shops, a pharmacy, and a bank, all within the community.

Parking

The parking lot for two cars is free. Parking at our property is autonomous and more environmentally friendly with a reusable card that you’ll receive upon arrival.
