Nice and Cozy

Loved the cottage. The small, thoughtful amenities provided by the owners - toiletries, house slippers, safe box, kitchen utensils, towels, etc. - were greatly appreciated and super helpful. A few things to note: the handheld showerhead, microwave and pot rack were out of reach for me (I am 5'0" tall). My spouse is luckily 6'1" but had difficulty reaching these items themself. Due to the location, any guest may want to consider bringing their own Hotspot for wifi. At no fault to the property owners, the wifi provider failed to work for 1.5 days during our stay. The features of the homestead were so beautiful however that having strong wifi may not be a priority since guests would be outdoors and/or "unplugging."

This little cottage was very nice, clean and cozy. The decor was festive and we appreciated the beautiful Christmas tree. Four sisters were comfortable, felt safe and location was close to wine country, downtown Temecula, restaurants and stores. The backyard was very nice with plenty of places to sit or lounge. The jacuzzi was a plus! It was well stocked with everything you need. The stairs are a bit steep and I highly recommend the microwave be moved from on top of the refrigerator to the counter. We really enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage and will be back.

Beautiful retreat

My sister and I stayed at this property for a 6 day get away and we loved it. It was so peaceful, beautiful, and pleasant. We slept so good in the master bed! The cottage is decorated impeccably and all the amenities make you feel like home. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings which was the perfect way to end the day. We loved the Christmas decorations too.

Cottage stay in Temecula

We found the cottage to be clean and well decorated. Bed was comfortable. We were close to all the wineries. Our only complaint would be, on our last day, the cleaner was waiting outside the cottage an hour prior to check out time.

NOT AS ADVERTISED

We came for a 4 night stay for a family wedding at South Coast Winery & left the next day. Unfortunately, the property was not as advertised so maybe ask the hosts if these issues have been fixed before making your decision on renting. One of the main reasons we chose this house over "The Romantic 1 Bedroom Villa" Guest House on VRBO was because of the Hot Tub and the Pool. At the end of Sept the hot tub was our main want over the pool. The hot tub was unusable & not at all like the photos. It was low on water with duct tape all over the upper jets. The filters visibly dirty & the chemical dispenser on top of the filter was not under water so the water had no chemical in it. We only investigated this because of the horrible smell, visible algae & black mold on the valves. The bottom was full of dirt and sand along with bugs and debris stuck to the pump intake screen. We never did get in but we did test the jets and tons of ants came out of the air intake knobs upon turning the system on. The outside bar area was covered with the hosts personal belongings, a shop vac, pool chemicals, door mats etc. The grill was so full of packed grease that nothing would drain while cooking. The patio area was very dirty & covered in bird droppings including the table & chairs. Our main issue over the hot tub being unusable was the spiders & spider webs inside. We killed 5 spiders in the first 8 hours of being in the house. The webs were everywhere and we could feel them on our arms/legs.

Perfect weekend stay

We really enjoyed this cottage and beautiful property! The details of the home were so cute and cozy! My 3 year old son just loved how inviting the outdoor solace was for exploring nature! We enjoyed swimming and the pretty views. The family who lives in the main home is so nice! We would definitely recommend this stay to anyone!

Awesome location, great property, fantastic hosts

The Cottage Haven is exactly like it looks in the pictures. Joe and Shari are EXCELLENT hosts. Communication with them before and during our stay was excellent. The pool and grounds were very well maintained and gave us a sense of calm and relaxation with lots of space and different spots to kick back around the pool. Beds and furniture were very comfortable, kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The location is about a 10 minute Uber ride to downtown/old town Temecula. It is less than 5 minutes to some great wineries. My wife and I had been to Napa on a wine trip and were not sure what to expect with Temecula. We will most definitely be back. I would absolutely recommend staying at this property if you are making a visit to the area with a small group or as a couple.

Cottage Haven Perfection

Cottage Haven was the perfect get away we were looking for to celebrate our 40th anniversary! The cottage is exactly as described, Joe and Shari were wonderful hosts. We also loved having the sweet pups on the property to make this home away from home even more special!

Beautiful cottage. A few things to help improve would be to have wash cloths for showering, better toilet paper. Also I would suggest blowing off the entry points to cottage to keep debris from entering and for overall aesthetics. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

A chance to wine

This is a very cozy little cottage. The surroundings are private and tranquil but shops/wineries/dining and the Heritage Rose Garden are all within easy driving distance.a Would reintegrate as noted in the listing that the stairs to the second floor sleeping area are indeed attic stairs. They are steep and shallow with only one hand rail so carrying luggage to the room is tricky if like us, you are seniors. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. My friend and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Really, Temecula Valley is a hidden gem.

Girls Holiday get away

We loved our stay at the cottage. Joe and Shari were great hosts and checked in with us when we arrived and throughout the weekend. The cottage looks as if it is professionally decorated and looked very festive with holiday decor. We enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit with a cup of coffee in the morning and at night the hot tub was nice after wine tasting. This spot is the perfect location to stay if doing a wine tasting tour and an easy Uber ride back at night.

Girls Getaway

Four female friends out for a long weekend getaway and wine drinking! This cottage had everything we needed, was a super clean and stylish! Our hosts, Joe and Shari, were quick to respond to questions and gave us great restaurant and happening recommendations. Beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub was divine! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and close to the wineries so we could Uber without a huge expense! Absolutely would recommend and would definitely return here! Only one bathroom so be prepared to share if there are more than two of you!
