Property was very tidy. room was spacious and had all I needed in it. Bathroom was very tidy and clean and pressure was good. Loved the idea of collecting the excess water for the gardens ( as there was a water shortage in the area ) from the shower warming up. Close to town but still quiet .

The room is spacious and clean. Have all the things you need. Location’s good, the town centre is just around the corner. Overall, it is value for money.

See the Underworld
The facility was easy to find, within walking distance of shops but a little out of the centre. Everything was new and clean with friendly welcome. The only fault I could find (and which seems to be common so far on this trip) was no ice cube tray for the fridge!

Had a Superior Apt, 1 bedroom comes with a kitchen and living area. Very spacious. Clean property. Abt 40mins drive away from Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Highly recommended.

Good, comfortable mote
Good, comfortable motel. As a light sleeper, some traffic noise experienced from the front room. However, after 10.00pm or so it was okay as there was only the occasional truck / car. (Best to request rooms at back of the property).

The room was comfortable but had a faint smoke smell - which was stronger in the bathroom. No fault of the owners - but the people on the other side of the wall were incredibly noisy - all night! 1.45am, 4am, 5am.... very little sleep was had. Not sure I’d stay here again.

Hi Donna, Sorry to hear that guests from an adjoining room kept you awake. If we had been aware of the situation we would have immediately put a stop to the party?/noise and issued a warning to the offending guests that this is not acceptable behavior. Thanks for your great feedback we appreciate you taking the time to review us. And yes the trade-off of being close to town and visible to passing traffic is being located on the main road. If you are not used to road noise and think it might be a problem for you let us know when you book and we will do our best to get you into a room away from the road. Personally I sleep through without a problem at all but we do understand that not everyone is like me =). kind regards Deborah

Everything we needed
About 35 minutes to Waitomo Adventures, which made it a perfect place to stay the night before our caving adventure. The owner was friendly, the room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable, and the shower had strong water pressure. Tv and WiFi too. A friendly cat will even say hi at your window if you’re lucky!

STAY HERE!!!!! It may look like a motel on the outside - but inside its 5 stars!!!!! Most comfy beds of our trip, hundreds of tv channels for the kids, nice bathroom, good little kitchen facilities. Only an easy 1/2h drive to the spectacular glow worm caves. Seriously - stay here!!!!!

Great Location, Great Stay, Great Value
This is the best motel we've stayed in. The owners were friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable and well equipped for disabled access, complete with parking space right outside the door. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with bench that did not flood! There was a large selection of DVDs that you can check out. In addition to the microwave and fridge, there was a 2 burner hot plate along with dishes. Te Awamatu is a delightful town, well located to attractions like Waitomo Caves, and a half hour drive to Hamilton. Raglan is a great surfing town with wonderful hikes.

This is an easy convenient hotel to stay in if you are in the area. We used it as a base for our visit to Waitomo, Clean and fresh, Nice people.

An excellent stay.
Check in was extremely good, friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with good supply of tea/coffee etc. One suggestion, a smaller bed would give room for a small bedside cabinet on both sides of the bed instead of just one side. However, that was minor. Good size bathroom and nice safe grassed area for the dog to explore. Didn't use the b.b.q area but it did look inviting. Also, the local information provided in the folder was extremely helpful. Wifi connection was also very good. Would recommend and hope to stay again sometime.
