Brilliant location, the cabin had everything required for a short stay, longer stay, if on your own or in a group, very well named being the cosy cabin, went there to relax and switch off for a bit and that's what i got, would recommend.

Enjoyable stay
Great location and had overall an enjoyable stay & the host’s communication was excellent. Unfortunately the property was not clean & when I’m staying somewhere cleanliness is probably 1 on the most important factors. The cabin smelt of wet dog (mainly the sofa), the rug had that much dog hair on it we had to roll it up & put it out of the way, there where spiders & cobwebs everywhere! My son ended up with a few bits on his legs, It really just needs a good clean, it’s definitely not being cleaned properly after each checkout. It was just a boys trip & most of the time was spent outside, if I had other family members there the cleanliness would have been a much bigger issue!! Probably to the extent of not staying in the cabin. The scenery & location are excellent, the cabin just needs an good clean & it would be overall an excellent experience.

The location of this cabin is perfect it's right on the Loch front, walking distance to a lovely forest walk and waterfalls. The little shop and social club/bar restaurant are in walking distance. This cabin is one of the smaller ones but it had everything we needed it was very homley and cozy and the host is just the lovliest guy.

Brilliant place to stay
Property was brilliant in such a lovely area. Views from cabin were stunning. We booked short notice and everything was ready for us. Cabin was warm and had everything we needed and the location was brilliant for adventures with our dog. The social club and cafe were so helpful and the food and coffee was great. Communication with host was great and made to feel welcome. Will definitely be back.

Magnifique chalet dans un écrin de verdure au bord du Lock
Le chalet est très bien équipé dans un environnement calme et verdoyant . Beaucoup d’espaces entre les cabanons et toutes les commodités à proximité. Le meilleur rapport qualité prix de notre séjour en Ecosse.

Short trip to cabin in Taynuilt
Property was clean and as described. I found it rather cramped and basic. Cabin one of over twenty ranged about the lochside. Communal areas well kept. It is great that the community own and run the bar, shop and restaurant, however they were all closed for most of our visit in June. It was quite a drive to the nearest shops that were open. We had a great trip to Iona one day and a jaunt to the Cruachan power station and dam for another. Also enjoyed St Cronan's Kirk.

Great location however the property itself should have been cleaner. Mouldy curtains in the living area. Bathroom needed a desperate clean which I done myself. I had to throw out the previous tenants mouldy food that was left in the cupboard. Should have complained however it was easier to take a cloth and cleaning products to it myself. Kitchen was well equipped but overall cabin needs updating. Door doesn’t close properly unless it’s lock door can be easily pushed open by a toddler or a dog pushing against it.

Wee getaway
We have been to this area before several times, however this was the first time at this cabin. Cabin had everything we needed except. Amazing views of the loch and great sitting area, never got to enjoy this though because of the midges. Cracking spot for fishing too. Would recommend and looking to come back.

The cabin was in a beautiful and quiet location, with gorgeous views. It was very cosy but plenty of room for four adults. Lovely to meet Gregor the host, thank you for the BBQ and wine. Social club is a must for food and a quiet drink! We will definitely be back

Lovely cabin
The cabin was set in the most tranquil, spectacular setting. It was fully equipped with all you could need for a holiday. The loch shore is right in front of the cabin and the view as breath taking. The beds were really comfy and all the linen was clean. The whole cabin was very clean. The shower worked well. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night even in the rain. We had an amazing holiday. Saw lots of wildlife in the surrounding area. Gregor was very friendly and welcomed us to the cabin. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who would like to get away from it all for a while. We would definitely come back again and recommend it to friends and family. We would recommend having lunch in the Wild Rowan Cafe in Dalavich. We visited Easedale Island and Mull which were both beautiful. We miss Scotland already and can’t wait to come back.

Great holiday cabin
Well-equipped and perfect for a couple or small family group. Well situated and especially good for dog-walking with open grassy spaces nearby and plenty of paths too. Convenient for enjoying the local amenities (restaurant, bar, shop, bike hire) and also good for enjoying the loch-side, walking nearby and touring the area.

Excellent stay
Great cosy cabin with everything needed for a comfortable stay and wonderful views over the loch. Lovely touches like a set of handy walking sticks of different sizes hanging up outside. Overall, just excellent.

Went with my wife and elderly Mum for a quiet break and was perfect for this. Good quiet location with plenty places for walking. Would definitely stay again especially in the better weather. Host Gregor was very helpful

Perfect Time
We stayed there for 3 nights with 3 Adults and one Dog. It was just perfect. So many walking possibilities, the nature, the Loch itself. The Cabin was great. The Kitchen was so much better than we thought. The Manager - Gregor- was amazing. We will come back.

Absolute gem
Could not rate our experience of this place highly enough..Owner Gregor went out of his way to help us and was always at hand if we had any queries...Firepit at front of cabin was amazing and as we have a dog, lots of open spaces for her to run around....Cabin clean and comfortable..Had all we needed...Would not hesitate to go back...Community centre bar on site is excellent with Lauren helpful and friendly..

This cabin is very cosy and in a lovely area with plenty of trees surrounding and views of the loch. There is no WiFi or signal depending on your network but it’s just what we needed! We brought a puppy too who Absolutely loved it!

Booking was easy, Gregor(owner) was friendly and helpful. The cabin was cosy and in a lovely position close to loch. The children and dog loved the walks, which there was no need to drive to,(as it was quite a drive to go anywhere) would love to come back in summer.

My friends and I booked here to have a weekend away since our festival was cancelled , we had such a good weekend the restaurant/pub nearby was only a short distance walk and the water was down the hill not far at all, we felt safe the whole trip and everyone we met were lovely will defo be back!

My secret hideaway
Keep coming back to Dalavich, and I rarely return to places I have been before. But this is my hidden gem. Cabin was lovely and warm and cosy and had everything I needed. Will definitely return. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Love this place even during Storm Dennis !

Peaceful break away from city life
Great communication from Gregor. However I would have liked the cabin to be a little closer to the water as the tree line obscured the view a bit. However very peaceful setting. The road into Balavich is an interesting drive in the dark so take care if you've never driven there before.

Le site sur lequel est la cabane est tranquille et agréable: vue sur le Loch. Espace naturel et calme:diversité de la faune et la flore, possibilité de pêcher . L'accueil des gens est bienveillant et chaleureux. Aux alentours: petite épicerie chaleureuse où l'on peut déjeuner à proximité, salle collective avec bar,restaurant et espace de jeux et espace buanderie . La cabane est assez confortable pour pouvoir profiter du sejour: location originale.
