Het verblijf was top! Heerlijk de ruimte in het huis, alles wat je nodig heb is aanwezig. Airco op de slaap kamer en de woon kamer. Tuin deur naar het terras en geweldig uitxicht vanuit de keuken en het terras, helemasl tot rust gekomen.

We loved our stay in this beautifully renovated house set in a picturesque and peaceful valley, but only a short drive to Tavira and the coast. Angie and Jonny are ideal hosts, welcoming and friendly, and always available to deal with any issues or requests. The house is spacious, well equipped and comfortable, with plenty of outdoor space, including the pool with a lovely view (though sadly too cold for us at this time of year!) and walks down to the river. We enjoyed the scenic walks up in the hills, especially the cork oak valley. A plentiful supply of logs to keep us warm on cool evenings. And not forgetting the delightful company of Paddy!Thanks Angie and Jonny for creating such a special place. We'll be back!

We had a truly relaxing stay in Angie and Jonny’s wonderful cottage. Angie and Jonny made us feel welcome immediately. The cottage is spacious, with a modern open plan but felt cosy and warm even in December. A great location for appreciating nature, peace and quiet.

Our first holiday in Portugal and it has inspired us to go back again, and again! Staying at Ria Joia was absolutely amazing, such a beautiful home in an idyllic setting. If you yearn for peace and quiet with a touch of luxury, this house has it and more! And a special mention to Angie and Johnny, just the nicest genuine people, thank you for everything!

Lovely villa and pool. Everything we needed was there. Beds very comfy. 25 mins away from Tavira where there were bars, restaurants, beach etc. Hosts were very discreet but helpful if needed

An idyllic location in the hills near Tavira. Absolutely loved our stay in this property. Angie and Johnny could not have done more to make our impromptu family holiday one to cherish. Such a tastefully developed holiday home in a stunning natural environment that comes complete with its own orchard and a special guy named Paddy. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Well equipped, lovely and peaceful and very nice owners. Thoughtful design and everything you need. Quite remote so 20-25 mins drive to supermarket and restaurants - good roads though. Car essential. Closest town is Tavira which is very nice. Well recommended.

This is a lovely villa in a quiet and beautiful location in the bend of a river (dry in summer as are a lot of rivers in the Algarve) looking out to the mountains Angela and Jonny are on site and great hosts, discreet and knowledgeable. Good recommendations for eating out and things to see and do in this beautiful and much quieter area of the Algarve.

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach wunderbar. Die Lage ist traumhaft, die Gastgeber total aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, alles sauber und für erholsame Tage perfekt wenn man dem Trubel entfliehen möchte. Für größere Kinder ist lediglich das Kinderzimmer etwas klein ausgefallen.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at Ria Joia and were made very welcome by our fabulous hosts. A beautiful house, cosy comfortable and well equipped we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The setting is stunning, peaceful gardens beside the riverbank provided a lovely place to sit and relax. In a secluded valley with lovely walks all around. A great place to stay and relax. Perfect!

From the moment we first had contact with the property owners to the moment we left they were super professional extremely helpful and lovely people who couldn’t do enough to make our stay the most enjoyable and relaxing ever. We loved our stay at this property, the owners were very accommodating and helpful. The house was very clean and decorated very tastefully and has a lovely swimming pool which our boys loved using. The location is not very far from Tavira and a short drive to a number of amazing beaches.

We (2 adults and 2 kids) have had three weeks in this lovely property. It is very well equipped with a remarkeble degree of dedication for the interior. A big plus (while having ~33degrees outside) where the pool and the two A/Cs in the house. Angie and Jonny were very kind and helpful in arranging everything for us. In short, you can book this location if you are looking for something quite outside of the usual tourist spots…

It has been a perfect escape from our busy city life, a great discovery of the back country and surroundings, although not away from the coast and even from Spain. The house has been perfect for our needs and we felt like home during the two weeks. Angie and her family have been so welcoming! Because of the heat wave those days, it was like real summer, one more unexpected gift in the spring time for us.. Recommend it and would gladly come back there

Wir haben 10 sehr entspannte Tage verbracht. Das Haus, sowie das Grundstück waren blitzsauber, ausgestattet mit neuwertigen Möbeln, geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns so sehr wohl gefühlt und die Ruhe genossen. Der Pool war eines der Highlights. Die Familie war sehr gastfreundlich und half uns mit allen Dingen, die wir benötigt haben. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Just returned from a weeks stay at this property..we were met by Angie upon arrival and have to say she was a great host..she showed us around and gave us plenty of useful tips for our stay...the property is clean modern and spacious and is set in an absolutely great location where you can relax and just take life easy ..outside area was also spacious and getting in the pool in March a real bonus..whilst the nights are still a bit fresh the TV with Amazon prime and Netflix are also a big bonus and pop your head outside to see the clearest skies and stunning stars..thanks for everything Angie we had a great stay

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Ria Joia. The cottage is situated in a beautiful, secluded location offering peaceful relaxation combined with excellent views. Ria Joia is fully equipped with everything you need to ensure a comfortable stay plus those added personal touches that raised it just that little bit higher than most. Hosts Angie and Jonny could not have been more friendly or helpful. Thanks to you both for making our stay everything we hoped it would be. We will definitely be back!
