The view from the lodge of the lake is amazing! We were contacted before arrival by Daniel and then greeted at the door & offered complementary drinks before being shown around. The facilities were excellent, we had a double room with a lake view, a dressing/storage area as well as an ensuite. There was also a kitchen shared between us and one other room. The communal areas were lovely with a spacious living area, dining area and balcony with hot tub. Daniel was happy to answer any questions we had about the local area & gave us tips on where was best to see the fireworks for new year. We would highly recommend!

We had a great experience at Tauhara Lodge. We had a very large cottage room with a huge bathroom and gorgeous views of Lake Taupo. Daniel was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is a few minutes drive outside of town and was very convenient.

The view from the property was stunning. We ended up staying in the cottage separate from the main house which is a beautiful space - far nicer than we could have hoped.

Daniel is a wonderful host with all Taupo bookings seemingly at his fingertips. He made arrangements for us to eat locally the night of our arrival and suggested a number of great options for activities. The chalet we stayed in had the most spectacular lake view with 1st-rate facilities. If we return to Taupo we will stay here again.

The views across Lake Taupo from the Lodge were spectacular. The Huka Falls and Rapids plus Lava Glass gave us lots to do . The accommodation was great with a friendly and helpful host .

Small out of town hotel with great views

The hotel is a large fairly modern house with a great terrace overlooking the lake. Rooms are very comfortable and the main lounge great for relaxing in. Kitchen has good and extensive range of equipment.

Great views and friendly service

Just 10 minutes by car from Taupo, a private home feel to the guesthouse, great views, especially from the terrace and jacuzzi. Friendly service, nothing to complain. We bought food from the local supermarket and had a barbeque on the terrace after a hike to the Huka Falls, the jacuzzi spa and a glass of bubbly felt great.

Stayed in a separate cottage which had nice views and plenty of room. Double head shower and spa bath. Large fridge and microwave. Daniel a great host, even doing some of our washing. A nice option for a stay whilst you view this part of New Zealand.

Awesome spot

Dan was an awesome host and the private chalet was perfect for a romantic get away, we loved the view and hot tub, the bed was comfy, the fire and ambient setting was just what we wanted!

Stunning Perch Above Lake Taupo

Our host, Daniel, greeted us when we pulled up. He was gracious and helpful -- made dinner reservations for us and offered several excellent suggestions for activities. The room was spacious (king bed, bathtub for two, double shower, living room, in-room kitchenette), well-appointed, exceedingly comfortable, and romantic. We delighted in the expansive view, stunning sunrise, first-rate happy hour and wide range of choices for breakfast. It's not right in town, which we quite enjoyed. And, when we booked a speed boat trip and river rafting adventure, the drivers were happy to pick us up at this not-to-be-missed world class bed and breakfast! Oh, and this place is aptly named -- we were blessed with two of the most stunning sunrises we've ever seen anywhere!

Room with a view and the personal touch.

We attended the Taupo concert and checked in for an overnight stay. Met at the door , shown to our room and through the lodge, and asked what we wished to do. .. freshen up, offered a drink, any assistance to get an evening meal in Taupo. Had breakfast meeting other guests, packed and a personal bye. Amazing facilities, view and service.
