Quiet County Setting
Clean, fully stocked dishes for all your needs. Nice screened in front porch to sit back and relax. Will definitely be going back to visit.

Absolutely Amazing
It was everything we wanted and more. We met with owner at a AMAZING Fish Fry with their local church. We felt welcome and loved. The surroundings were serene and peaceful. Anyone looking to get a way from the every day hustle and bustle this is the place. At peace with Earth and Nature.

Great getaway
Cozy cabin with a big screened in porch, perfect for relaxing. Nice location, an easy drive to Marengo Cave, Patoka Lake Winery, and several trails to hike in the Hoosier National Forest. Owner was very pleasant and helpful.

Tim was a great host. Serenity was a beautiful cabin in the woods and a great getaway from "city life." You are truly in the woods here, away from electronics and "super fast" mobile data services. If you are looking for a relaxing place in the woods and time to spend with family activities and games, this is a perfect place to stay.

We loved staying in this cute place! The big screened porch was my favorite spot. There are lots of places to sit and relax with family. Our group of 5 ate breakfast out there. Everything was very clean. The location is quite remote and quiet. Definitely a retreat. We would love to stay here again.

Zero privacy
O privacy neighbor straight across from you staring at every thing you say our do. Even come out to start an argument. Everything else perfect. Owners need to put up privacy fencing. We have more privacy living in town.

After speaking with the neighbors the privacies issue was two-way street. they spoke of not being able to come into there yard without being watched. Tammy's group also ignored the rule on number of pets rule bring a large third dog, also they burned a 14 inch across log meant for sitting on, way to big of fire for the fire pit. other wise great guest.

We have been here before and plan to return. It's a bit off the beaten path and that is what attracts us to it. Very quiet and relaxing stay. We used the grill and the fire pit during our stay. Its just over 30 minutes to French Lick and we always make a trip into town.

A great place to relax. The cabin is very comfortable and clean and the screened porch with its lounge, rockers, and table was perfect. The kitchen is nicely appointed. Tim is a considerate host and was available if we needed anything. We appreciated finding such a nice pet friendly place. Some very nice hikes are nearby (Hemlock Cliffs and Yellow Birch Ravine). No Wi-fi ( as advertised), but our AT&T cell phones were fine.

Serenity is Right!
This is a true getaway, very peaceful and quiet. We saw 4 deer in the yard from the wonderful large screened porch. There are a couple of neighbors but still quiet. Cabin was immaculate, and the host was great. We had everything we could need. Highly recommended.

Lovely cabin in quiet area.
The cabin is clean and cozy, the grounds well taken care of. The beds were okay, but not great. No wi fi but that was okay with us. Tim let us borrow a couple movies. I was impressed with the cleanliness and effort that went into making the cabin comfortable.

Patoka Lake
Us and friends really enjoyed this little cabin. Within walking distance of thousands of acres of public land including Patoka Lake. Boat launch is 7 minutes away. Besides a disgruntled neighbor who thinks he owns the public land, we would love to come back!

This is a DNR Lake and they strive to keep it natural. no shore inprovements

Relaxing on the porch in the rockers was the best!
Serenity Cabin # 2 had everything we needed for our back to nature 4 day, 3 night stay. Plenty of room for our 8 year old grandson to play inside when it rained. Had so much fun playing games that are supplied. The best part was the screened in porch and rocking chairs. Our dog loved it, too. Tim is a wonderful host and is very obliging. Delivered movies that my grandson wanted to see. Plenty of parking cabin-side. Will definitely stay again.
