Our stay at this vacation home was a significant disappointment due to several major issues, despite some nice features.On the positive side: The home is fundamentally a nice property with very modern, high-quality appliances. The main living areas seemed generally clean upon arrival.However, the negatives significantly impacted our vacation:Pest Issues: We found a large number of live spiders throughout the house, especially in one of the bedrooms. The situation was bad enough that we couldn't let our daughter sleep in that room. Additionally, we discovered a dead bluebird in the fireplace/stove which we had to dispose of ourselves.Noise: The roof makes extremely loud groaning noises at night. While the welcome booklet claims this is normal for an adobe home, the noise level was so loud and frequent that it prevented us from getting a good night's sleep during our entire stay.Resolution:We were only able to comfortably use two of the bedrooms due to the pest issues and noise. We contacted Vacasa management, who did provide a partial refund for our stay to acknowledge the problems we encountered.While we appreciate the management's efforts to resolve the issue financially, the condition of the home with the pests and the disruptive noise level made for an uncomfortable experience overall. Future guests should be aware of these recurring issues.
