Holiday ski vacation with family

Land of Enchantment lives up to its billing. Charming property with all amenities one could want. Location is about as close as one can get without renting a condo in Ski Valley itself. Perfect spot to get away from it all for our first time in years. Prime shopping is as close as the ski slopes if you aren't a ski buff. Excellent communications with our hosts before and during the stay with written guidance and suggestions on everything involved with the stay. Certainly would see about staying there again.

Owners are great people. We had a fantastic stay at the House of Stories. Firepit and hot tub favorites of mine. This house is so large you could get lost. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. 10 stars for the people and views. Sue & Greg Milewski

Beautiful home at awesome location!

Casa de Cuentos is a beautiful home with incredible views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Taos Plateau. The house looks at least as good -- if not better -- than the photos posted by Tammi and Dave. It is quiet, peaceful and comfortable. Loved using the hot tub after a day of hiking. Made s'more on the outside firepit. The 360-degree views from the second-floor bedroom are amazing -- our son loved sleeping up there. All the beds were comfortable. Lots of living space for a six-person group like ours to spread out. Tammi was always prompt in response to questions we would ask her. It is clear that she and Dave have spent a lot of time keeping the property in top shape. I would definitely recommend Casa de Cuentos for families and friends looking for an awesome Taos base camp.

Great base for Taos exploration

The property is comfortable and well appointed. Our family of five had plenty of room to spread out inside, and we enjoyed all the outdoor spaces, too. The location is convenient for lots of hiking options around the enchanted circle. The owners are easy to communicate with. Great stay!

House of Stories and Wonderful Memories

This is the second time our family has stayed in this beautiful home and it is our favorite out of the many properties we have stayed in throughout the years. The views of the surrounding mountains are phenomenal and the addition of the upper story studio completes the package! Plenty of room for families or friends to gather (inside and out) and the kitchen is well-stocked. We definitely plan on returning!

Perfect home to visit Taos

We had a great experience overall from booking, arrival and stay. Tanmi and Dave are clearly experienced and professional. The house was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The design was fun which allowed for 4 young girls to have a very enjoyable loft experience together. There are multiple areas to relax and the mountain views from the main living area are spectacular. It was the perfect base for us to have for all the snow adventures that we did. The only complaint is that the week went by too quickly! We would love to come back.

Perfect Hideaway in Taos

This property has a remote feeling even though you are only 10 minutes from some amazing places. The location really can’t be beat. We were able to easily access Red River, the gorge, Taos Ski Valley and Taos. The house was immaculately clean and very well appointed. Seriously have all the comforts of home here. The outside living space is perfect for a relaxing evening. The upstairs art room kept our littles busy for hours throughout the trip. The kitchen is easy to prepare home cooked meals in which made eating-in much more enjoyable. We did need assistance at one point In our trip and the owners answered and assisted on the first ring. They were kind and prompt and provided excellent communication from the beginning of the booking until the end. Will absolutely return.

Clean, comfortable and perfect!

We enjoyed out stay at Casa De Cuentos immensely. Tammi and David take great care of the home. The property offers a number of really nice amenities and special spaces. We struggled making up our minds where we wanted to hang out, Shaded patio? Hot Tub? Artist's nook? Cushy Comfy couch in the bar/living area? Fire Pit? After a long day of sight seeing, it was such a pleasure to come home to Casa de Cuentos! We now plan for Casa de Cuentos to be our staging waypoint for trips to the west. We also enjoyed the day trips out of Arroyo Hondo; Enchanted Circle, Santa Fe, John Dunn Bridge and the Rio Grande Gorge, D H Lawrence's Ranch, Taos Ski Valley. This property is highly recommended!

Much needed escape

Our time at Casa de Cuentos was exactly what we needed. A wonderful base to go explore from and relax in when we got back. The views from the property were stunning and if you don’t take time to enjoy the stars from the hot tub, are you even trying? Tammy and Dave were excellent hosts, curating a host of recommendations for dining and adventure and always replied quickly to our questions. We cannot wait to return!

Best rental I’ve ever stayed in

Absolutely impressed by this rental. We stayed here for three nights for my bachelorette weekend and all of us were in awe of the beauty and quality of the house both inside and out. Amazing views, high quality EVERYTHING, close to Taos/hot springs/trails but very secluded at the same time. We had a little mishap with the key and the owner quickly helped us regain access to the house. I have traveled extensively & lived both all over the US and in several European countries and can say with assurance that this is the most awesome rental I’ve ever stayed in. Wonderful option for medium-sized groups! Only suggestion I have is to install black-out/thicker curtains in the downstairs bedrooms to allow for better sleep. Thanks so much for our wonderful stay!!

Wonderful getaway for our family

We enjoyed ourselves so much at Casa de Cuentos! The home is beautiful, comfortable, and inviting, and spoke to each of us in unique ways. Our young daughters loved making art in the upstairs studio and delighted in their cozy beds by the windows. My husband loved the grill, the comfortable seating, expansive views, and location - close enough to great food, art, and hiking, yet far enough to really feel 'away'. I loved the soothing colors, the well-stocked kitchen, ample cozy spaces to curl up with a book, and inspiring spiritual images and messages inside and outside of the home. We all loved how close it is to Taos Cow ice cream! We can't wait to return.

Beautiful oasis!

Although the property was a bit "out of the way", it was by far, the most beautiful VRBO we have ever been to (and we tend to pick REALLY great ones)! We were honestly impressed and the kids asked if we could move in....lol!! The master bed was crazy comfy. The upstairs add-on room got a bit warm in the sun but has views that cannot be matched. Literally the most incredible, panoramic views I've seen of the mountains. Only recommendation I have would be converting the closet in the living area/bar into a full bath. The property sleeps so many, that we'd love to come back with another family... but 2 baths can be restricting with several people. Overall, one of the top properties we've ever rented. VERY impressed.

Wonderful Views

If there was a negative, it’s that the house was so large that we couldn’t make use of it all. It’s a beautiful property with great views in every direction. Tammi was so easy to deal with throughout the entire process. I’d definitely recommend the house if you want easy access to all the great activities around Taos.

Lovely Home! But be careful of messaging before booking.

Great place to stay. Tammi & Dave were very responsive. Sometimes the amount of content in their messages can come off as a little aggressive, but one can understand why they do that with being in that industry and most likely them being burned before. While they give you a lot of rules and even upped the price on us last minute which was cold but I guess part of the business for them, overall it was pleasant trip and even with the last second price hike it was the only option that worked for the size of my family and we'd stay again. Only one shower was not a problem for us, but it could be with some. Especially since they require you take a shower before getting in the hot tub. We just opted for not using the hot tub because of this which wasn't a bummer as we still utilized the fireplace and enjoyed the scenic views. If you're kind and courtesy to Tammi & Dave and respectful of their home as if it was your own, I doubt you will have any problem. Just make sure you book the home when you see it available and do not message them first as this will result in a price increase. We give it five stars for everything but the accuracy of the price of the home as they changed it on us as we were messaging them to book it. If you don't mind that then you will love this place. Five stars for everything else.

Big beautiful Adobe house in a beautiful mountain setting. The house has everything.

With a bar, several living areas, several level deck, one with built in fire pit, one with hot tub and a BBQ grill. It's big but still cozy with fireplaces, comfy beds and beautifully furnished. The owners are great and very accommodating. We look forward to staying here as much as possible. Thanks for the hospitality and memories.

Excellent stay in the Enchanted Land

This was a perfect stay for our group of seven skiing and exploring in Taos. The house is spectacular and sprawling with multiple living spaces and bed areas. The views from the artist studio are exceptional and the house is well situated into this stunning environment. We made good use of the outdoor fire circle, hot tub, guitar, and multiple indoor entertainment spaces. The kitchen and the bar were well appointed and the host communication was excellent. Only wanted addition might be another bathroom/shower if we had more people - but was not a hindrance to the experience. Enchanting indeed. Thank you Tammi and Dave - I hope to have the opportunity to return!

Perfect for families!

This house was perfect for our family of 6. My parents, my kids and my husband and I each had our own room and living room. We had everything we needed and the location was perfect for skiing at Red River, Angel Fire and close to Taos. I would definitely recommend this property.

Tammi and Dave were great hosts, and the house was everything we expected, and more (Welcome bottle of wine was delicious).
