The unit was everything we needed it to be. One couple had to drop out because of a medical issue, but the remaining 5 of us had a great stay at Brightstar. Close to the Ski slopes and the town of Taos. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and we were able to watch the Olympic Games each evening after soaking in the Hot Tub. Would recommend for large groups.

Words fail to describe how great this place is

We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful property. We were so comfortable in spacious well supplied bedrooms, wonderful large bathrooms, well stocked drawers and even spices and dry condiments in the kitchen. We have never stayed in a place that even had ziplock bags, aluminum foil and plastic wrap! We were a Amazing views, wonderful seating indoors and out. Our extended family never ran out of dishes or glasses. All of us agreed: one of the best places we've ever stayed in.

Highly recommend for families

We stayed here with three small families and a grandmother. Having the Casita along with the main house was awesome. We were there to see concerts at Kit Carson Park. Location is great, less than 20 minutes from downtown Taos.We look forward to our next stay!

Great Spot For Families and Friends

The home is fantastic - large rooms, plenty of space. comfortable all around. Backyard was big enough to place Frisby. Morning Coffee on the back porch and evenings in the hot tub and see the stars.

Wonderful place for Taos Skiing -

There was 11 of us at this wonderful place. The Property Manager called us and provided all the necessary instructions, which was a nice touch! The house is large and we all were very comfortable! Kitchen is stocked better than any place I've stayed. Plenty of towels and blankets. Beautiful views during sunset.We all made wonderful memories, and will definitely consider renting this property again.

Beautiful family vacation house!

We were so pleased with this beautiful, spacious, well equipped home. The property was tranquil and very private. The stars are absolutely amazing. The outdoors enabled our grandson to run wild, swing and be a kid. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The fireplaces are such a nice perk and we used them every night. I can’t say enough good things about this property! Last but not least the property manager was everything you want when renting! Thank you for a lovely holiday week!

Wonderful Family Fall Weekend

We had a wonderful fall weekend stay with 7 adults aged 30-70 and a toddler. Everyone loved Bright Star, inside and outside. The location north of Taos was perfect for our restaurant choices and adventures. The neighborhood was VERY quiet. And the house was exceptionally CLEAN with ample paper products. Our only complaints (not worth deducting a star) were 1. The master bed is exceptionally old and uncomfortable - very soft and concave, 2. The master bed linens smelled of strong laundry fragrance or a prior guest's cologne, and 3. We could not get the LR TV to work on any channel or app, and the host did not reply to our request for help by text. We would gladly return in the fall, winter, or spring if these issues are addressed. But not in the summer as the house has no A/C.

Open air and views for miles!

Wonderful property nestled in a quiet, view-filled neighborhood. The house itself is very roomy, and adorned with local architecture. The property manager was always just a call away and helpful with any questions, she was fantastic. They helped customize our stay for a large group, and were greatly accommodating. Thanks again!

Wedding Week

Wow what a fabulous house! Best stocked VRBO we ever stayed in and we stay in them often. The beds super comfortable including the cots. The kitchen was stocked above and beyond my expectations. Love that they had seasonings! The views were amazing and we had an after wedding family party there and used all the outdoor areas. I just cannot say enough. Our family will remember and talk about this week forever

Comfortable and well equipped

The house was comfortable and well equipped. The lighting in the house is lacking! Thank goodness there were the floor lamps to help with that situation! The location was not what I expected. It was a little difficult to find, but once we did it was easy to navigate to Taos. Part of our group golfed at Angel Fire and it took them about an hour to get there. Just keep that in mind if you plan to golf or ski there. Overall, the house itself was just what we needed! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the house.

Loved the adobe construction and the spacious New Mexico flavor of the house. We had ample room and everything in the house worked well. The house lacked only air-conditioning for hot July days. It would cool down at night though. We would come back again for sure but perhaps during cooler months.

Amazing Place..Amazing Host!

Jerry's place was beautiful! Nicest place in Taos by far! Lots of space, clean and nicely decorated. The stars were amazing at night. The beds were super comfy. No air conditioning, but that is common in Taos and having the windows open at night was really nice. We were not able to use the hot tub but Jerry said a new cover had been ordered, so hope to come back and use that on our next stay. Jerry's communication was great! Location was easy to get too, not too far from town, but enough out of the way for great star gazing. Great views of the mountains too. We hope to be back soon! Kids had a blast too!

Perfect Casa and Casita for a big family vacation

Overall, great place. Amazing location. Good amenities. Great communication with the host. It would have been nice if there was some information for things to do around Arroyo Seco such as Taos cow, Soul cafe, etc. Also, we lost power for a couple of hours. some information on that might also be helpful as a heads up, to avoid getting candles and matchboxes in the dark. We really had a blast. Thank you to Jerry for such a wonderful trip.
