It was a wonderful stay! Perfect location with a very doable and quick walk to the main part of town in the middle of summer. Has a magnificent view. The hosts are very communicative and always available for any questions. We really appreciated the local wine that was left for us and enjoyed it one night on the terrace. Also appreciated the coffee pods for our morning coffee. We really enjoyed our time in this home and in Taormina.

A lovely rooftop view, spacious, comfortable apartment. Clear, concise, communication with the host and her assistant who greeted us. When you rent, take a few extra minutes to learn how the locking system on the doors work. We managed, however did not really know how we unlocked them. I am certain a little training would have helped Wonderful place to stay!

Comfortable stay with beautiful views

While the location was a 10 to 15 minute walk from the center, it was easy to find our way. There are many stairs down to the center and many more back up to the apartment. Being on the top floor allowed for views, be prepared for carrying all luggage up multiple flights. Rooms are a bit smaller than they look, but the apartment is very well appointed.Michael was very responsive and very helpful in arranging rides to Giardini Naxos. We enjoyed our stay!

Apartment was lovely, as described in photos and description. As noted in description, there are a lot of stairs to climb to get the apartment and also in Taormina to get around. Fine for us, but be aware if not very mobile. Apartment was clean and we were very happy staying here. Owner was very responsive to messages, much appreciated.

Great space and location

We had a great stay at Mike’s place. The space is very nice, lots of room, very light and great views. It’s right across from a playground which our kid was at daily. Short 5 min walk down to the main strip. The only thing which others have mentioned is it is a penthouse and there’s no elevator so you do have to navigate 5 floors of stairs to the unit. We had no issues with this and it’s what give the great views. Great value and would definitely stay here again.!

It is so unfortunate to have to write this review, but we want to help make sure that others who are considering this property are duly warned. We were so looking forward our stay at Christmas, and were heartbroken to find this property is NOT 9.4 stars. We are trying hard to make this review objective and blamed, but it is very difficult due to the state it was in. There is black mold. Leaks. Broken windows. Broken door handles. Broken toilet flushers. Broken beds. Broken oven. Broken/poorly working water heater.There IS a lift - it just doesn’t work and hasn’t been repaired in years. It’s 5 flights of stairs to the top. In summer heat it would be terrible. Parking is a 25 minute walk uphill. If you have mobility or other health issues please take note. The owner did not respond to our concerns. The pictures in the listing are deceptive, so be careful. I strongly advise that renting based on the listing photos is at your own risk and suggest that you lower your expectations. You may have a very tough time getting remedy if your experience mirrors our own. I was partially refunded after complaining directly to VRBO (several times) with detailed photos and documentation. The host never responded to our direct communications. We were forced to move to a hotel in the middle of the night. There was no expression of concern or responsibility. No apology was received, and I fully expect a response to this review deflecting and finger pointing back at us, the hapless renters.

Simply Amazing!

Simply amazing experience! We stayed at Micheal’s apartment for almost a week. It was lovely. The apartment was clean and every room on the sea-view side had a balcony, including the bathroom! There was a full kitchen, and everything was in place. We had supper in the large terrace overseeing the sea and evening lights of the town. The tranquility… no one wanted to go back in. The area was also very conveniently located, walking distance of restaurants, shops, and grocery. The communication with Michael and his partner, Roberto was seamless. They were quick and knowledgeable on every question we asked. The promptness was very important to us as it lessen the stress just knowing what to do and where to go. Don't stay here

6 flights of stairs with no lift. Stairwell with no lights. 600 meters to center, but didn't say down alot more stairs and a steep hill. Now we had to go up again through the whole process again. When our concern was voiced to owner he asked me not to write a bad review or he would give us a bad one too. Go ahead give me a bad review

The Views!

Spacious penthouse apartment very close to the center of town. The terrace was wonderful place to hang out and the views are fantastic. The place was well-equipped, beautiful and spacious. The five-story walk up didn't bother us -- the views and privacy were worth it. It was hard to locate the exact building, even for local taxi drivers, gps couldn't pinpoint the building. Check-in was a little difficult. The trash situation was very hard to figure out -- instructions and containers needed.

We had an excellent holiday - the property is central to restaurants shops and the chair lift to the beach. All communication with the property manager has been very good - always prompt with good recommendations. The view from the patio area is stunning. Taormina is relatively hilly though and there are steps to the apartment which you need to be prepared for but for us the views were worth it! Many thanks

Lovely top floor apartment

Four of us stayed here and found the apartment has plenty of room for us. The apartment is a challenging walk uphill to get to and then another challenging walk up several flight stairs but all worth it for the amazing views of the sea on one side and mountains on the other. One large terrace to sit and relax as a group Apartment is a short downhill walk to the main high street and is located in a quiet residential area The apartment has everthing that you need in the kitchen and the owner was great in communicating with me

Great location with great views!

It was a super way to see and immerse ourselves in Taormina and even Castelmola. The flat was well equipped, functional and easy to live in. Given the drying conditions in Taormina it was quite easy to get to by car. Getting into the main part of town was an easy 5 minute walk down the hill. We also enjoyed the easy access to the path up to Castelmola (20 minutes) where we discovered some good places to eat while enjoying spectacular views of Taormina and Mount Etna.

Good views but not close to city center & restaurants.

5th floor apartment/no elevator - understood. NOT a short walk to city center as suggested - long walk up a steep incline to get to apt.. 2 of the bedrooms were very small. Roof terrace was great but other balconies were too small to use. Hope this helps.
