This was our fifth year in a row staying at the Perch…so it is obvious we love it. Of course, the balcony is absolutely awesome. The view of downtown Tampa is lovely, especially after dark. We love sitting on the balcony having coffee and watching all the different types of boats go by. We find ourselves relaxing as soon as we arrive at the Perch. This is a studio, so it is one big room, which includes the kitchen, living area and bedroom. The bathroom is quite small, but serves the purpose. The apartment is cute and very clean. It is very close and convenient to downtown Tampa and the airport. A fantastic Publix is located in the Hyde Park area, just a five minute drive. The owners is very easy to work with and always responds to any issues or questions. We highly recommend this for a single person or a couple

We had a lovely stay while visiting our son over Christmas. The deck was our favorite part for morning coffee. Beautiful views of the city and we got to enjoy the Christmas lights of the across-the -river neighbors as a bonus.The kitchen pots and pans were a bit lax but we made do. We would definitely return here again!

The location on the river was excellent. The balcony provides a great place to relax and enjoy the skyline in the distance, while boat pass by below. Room was very clean. I did not use the stove top or oven. Other than distant traffic noise, the apartment was quiet.

First, the view from the second floor deck down the river is beautiful. The apartment we stayed in was comfortable and clean. The AC works great and keeps the apartment nice and cool. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, plates and utensils we needed. The interior of the unit is bright and airy with lots of windows letting in the light.We would definitely stay there again.

Weekend stay

We were in town for a concert. The apartment is exactly as the pictures online show. Views are amazing. The owner was gracious and quick to answer our questions. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

View of Downtown Tampa on the River

The property was clean, accurate as described in photos and secure with a functioning electric gate to the parking spaces. The view of downtown was absolutely beautiful; the neighborhood was a 6 out of 10 and all equipment worked as expected. The only negative thing to be said was the strong musty smell inside the unit which necessitated us leaving the door open whenever we were in the unit, excluding nighttime of course.

Riverside Private Gem

Can't say enough about this hidden gem. Elevated deck above the river, large interior space with good layout, full kitchen, private parking, gorgeous views of downtown skyline day and night, sounds of seagulls and the river, clean and private - a magical place for my stays for my work trips to Tampa!

One week on the river

The Perch had a large deck, where we spent most of our time while at the unit. The view from there of the city and activity on the river was delightful. On the one evening when storming, we could still appreciate the Perch because of at least 11 windows giving us a 360 degree bird’s eye view. The only thing that would have been nice is motion detector lights on the steps up to get to the deck and second floor entrance. We are already looking forward to another future stay at the Perch.

We love this place this was our third stay at the perch in three year

This was our third stay at The Perch in 3 years. We really love this property. It is charming and we love the deck and the great view of downtown Tampa, as well as watching the boat activity on the river. The property is always well stocked with necessities. The neighborhood around The Perch is quite run down but all of the homes on the river are very nice and gated. We have never felt unsafe. There are a lot of steps to climb to get to the Perch but it is worth it. Also, it is a short, easy drive to the airport, which is helpful. The owner has always been responsive and helpful.
