Pool was nice, the rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable. Pots, pans , skillets and utensils were available for us to use!

Do Not Stay Here

I booked this trip with buddies to go watch spring traing for baseball. We specifically booked this house for the hot tub and pool. The house advertised both a hot tub and heated pool, yet buried in the description it said heater does not work. Then when we got there the pool was covered with algea and had not been cleaned. Additionally, getting into the place was a nightmare. We received no check in instructions and the key pad to the home was broken so it took 2 hours of waiting and calling multiple different people to get into the house. After we finally got into the house, there were no paper towels, a half roll of toilet paper, and no trash bags for the five days we were staying. There was also no instructions to access the wifi and of course no check out instructions. Needless to say, I would stay far away from this place! I am also extremely displeased with how VRBO handled the situation. They offerd a 100 in compensation which was disgraceful after what we went through and what we had to buy to make the home habitable for the five days we stayed. Disappointed customer to say the least.

Cancelled Our Stay

Host claimed the house wouldn't be clean until Wednesday when we were supposed to check in on Monday. Told us about an hour before checkin. Wanted us to cancel for her problem. Host refused to answer phone calls from VRBO.

Horrible experience

The house was listed as a 4 bedroom and it was only three bedrooms. The spa jets did not work even after the property manager walked me through the steps. There is an infestation of ants in the master bathroom. The batteries in all the remotes were dead. I had to by triple A batteries. The property owner gave me the wrong number to the property manager and I could not get in the first night at all. I had to lug my Amazon fresh food order an hour away to a friends house because I had no access to a refrigerator. Not sure if the fans work or if the batteries are dead in the remotes. It’s July and I couldn’t turn on a fan in the house except the one by the pool. Ants greet u at the garage door. As that is where the trash cans are located. This property is outdated. The space is nice for the $ but the service sucks. Go elsewhere!!

Nice house

The owner and property manager were very helpful and respond back very quickly. Overall the house was very nice. you can tell it’s an older home but it’s taken care of well. I couldn’t figure out how to adjust the thermometer in the house, but it’s pretty much was set at a good temp. There was a lot of readily available things to use in the house which was nice. My kids loved the pool, It could’ve been cleaned, but they didn’t mind. Overall the house was wonderful and clean. In a good neighborhood where we felt very comfortable. My kids were not ready to leave. I would definitely go back again.

Overall good stay

The house was great! Although it would have been nice to have a heated pool and hot tub the kids still enjoyed the few times they used the pool. Host was very accommodating. Conveniently located.

An Exceptional Stay at Ivy House in Northdale, Tampa!

My recent stay at Ivy House in Northdale Tampa was nothing short of excellent. This property's location is simply perfect, offering easy access to everything you could need. From the mall to the airport, public transportation, and a wide range of dining options, this place has it all. Ivy, the host, deserves special praise for her exceptional attentiveness and constant communication. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was absolutely fantastic. Her dedication and commitment made a world of difference. The property itself is a gem - it's immaculately clean, well-organized, and beautifully maintained. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, providing the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Tampa. The entire property is surprisingly large, allowing for ample privacy and space for all guests. One of the highlights of Ivy House is the pool. It's not only nice but impressively large, offering a fantastic place to unwind and cool off. The pool area is well-maintained and truly adds to the overall experience. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze, which is always a relief when traveling. It's a mystery to me why this property has a few less-than-stellar reviews. I'm so thankful I chose this property because my experience was nothing short of enjoyable and memorable. Ivy House in Northdale Tampa is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch experience.

nice property, needs some work

the place has a nice layout and a great location in proximity to a lot of tampas tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping locales. the house is older, but modern. if the pool heater had worked that would have been nice, the ad said the spa heater didnt work. the house good use a good cleaning top to bottom, the carpets were stained, the bathrooms and kitchen seemed to be just quickly wiped clean. we found some clothes stuffed in the couches and one of the recliners was broken. i would say the property wasnt dirty but it wasnt cleaned. we did enjoy our stay, and we would definitely consider the property on our next trip to the area.

Listing was misleading

Our 2 main complaints were the lack of cleanliness of the home and falsely advertising the home had a heated pool. The floors were filthy, there were dishes with food caked on them in the cabinets, there were food wrappers and old decorations on the lanai and dead flowers left in the bedrooms. The owner informed us 11 days before we were due to arrive that the pool heater was not working when it had not been working properly since the previous summer (as mentioned in one of the reviews from Jul. 2022). When I told the owner how unhappy I was to hear about the heater she offered to refund the money if I wanted to try to find someplace else. Of course, less than 2 weeks before our vacation I was not able to find another property to rent. There were several other issues with the house such as light and ceiling fan switches which did not work, 3 different times we had trouble with the refrigerator and 1 of the toilets needed to be looked at.

Family holiday

It was a lovely big house with loads of room for six adults. Perfect area well located with lots to do. The property was well kept. But looking a little tired in a few places. Would have been 5 stars but the pool heating was broken so it was too cold to use the pool properly. There were a few other small niggles like light switches that didn’t work and need replacing and the seating in the lounge has a recliner that is stuck open, but otherwise a lovely place and a great stay

Listing was misleading

Pool and hot tub was not clean and not heated as listed. Property owner did not let us know even though prior to booking we had made it clear that was one of the most important things for us. Property had not been properly cleaned prior to our arrival. Floor was dirty, trash bins were full, and refrigerator had a bad smell. Property owner was not willing to compensate us in any way for these issues. We would not stay there again.

Great place

Easy to check in and navigate to. Good neighborhood and close to big box stores. Only a few small things to consider... the heat for the pool and hot tub are finicky. The owner is in the process of fixing this though and we're very helpful to troubleshoot it. The master suite upstairs has a big opening above the door. It doesn't change the visible privacy but noise transfers in/out of it. We would stay again!
