Great location, nice space, fabulous pool

Paul and unit were good. Location in Tamarindo is fabulous. Access to hotel is a real plus for the bar and beach. Good security and friendly people. This particular unit has to be accessed from the back which meant a walk across a gravel parking lot and some dark places. Not great at night time, but we managed. Some noisy neighbors, but no real way to resolve since there is nobody on site. Had a problem with one of the doors in the maintenance. Was there within an hour, which was good. Second bedroom is small but great for two kids.

Worse experience ever!

1. Check in process: a disaster! They never emailed us or text us instructions regarding how to access the apartment. No answer through VRBO chat and the phone number listed in the add was disconnected. On arrival day VRBO was able to reach out a manager who send us the instructions after waiting for hours and even walking to the Krain office ( of course it was closed) and not finding help. We ended up staying at a hotel that night: everybody was moody and cranky after waiting in a crowded car for hours in a T storm. 2. Smell: we were never really able to figure out where it was coming from but the sewer aroma was hard to stand. 3. No water: last day the water was off. Krain “emergency” line didn’t even bother to respond to help us to figure out what was happening. We found help on our own 4. Everything looks pretty but half of the things don’t actually work. 5. Beach chairs are old and smelly. Boards are just for the picture 6. Yes location was great but so many other things were wrong that it would had been easier to walk or rent a golf cart to move around.

Constant smell of sewer gas

The condo was not easy to find. We found the gated entrance and did as instructed, telling the guard the unit we were staying in. He could not direct us where to go and there was no one to ask. I messaged the owner and heard back about a number to call but at that point we had been given the run around by the guard (nice guy) but the site is under construction without any directional signs of buildings or units. The bigger problem though was on the second day the smell of sewer gas coming from the second bathroom was overwhelming! We kept the door closed and opened the window but it still crept through the entire condo! Leaving the doors to the patio just meant it wafted through the house. I messaged the owner and he sent people to clean but that wasn't the problem- it was sewage gas. The smell never left and he sent people to clean again but it didn't matter- we never used the second bathroom and my kids slept with shirts covering their noses because the smell was so awful! It ruined our stay. The ice maker also didn't work and 2 out of 3 boogy boards were snapped in half (third had the bottom falling off but kind of worked) and only 1 of 4 key cards worked.

Sunshine and Sunsets

This property was absolutely amazing. Location cannot be any better in Tamarindo. The pool area was spectacular with easy access to beach. Watching the sunsets from our outdoor living space was so peaceful. Highly recommend. We will definitely repeat in the near future.

Beautiful condo, Incredible location!

Wow. This gorgeous newly renovated property was just perfect for our family vacation. State-of-the-art kitchen, super comfortable beds and linens, use of boogie boards and beach chairs and umbrella, amazing private patio and yard overlooking the grand resort pool. Not only do you have access to this incredible facility which has private cabanas that you can use for free, yoga studio in the kids center and swim up bar, it is literally a three minute walk across the street to the Diria Hotel and Resort that you also have access to. This not only means that you can use their pool and dine at their beach front restaurant, but it also means that you can set up on lounge chairs provided on the beach under the palm trees and overlook the ocean. This is all included with your condo rental and they provide bracelets for you to wear so you can access BOTH properties. Tony was our property contact and was so communicative and helpful with any questions we had. We loved this vacation spot and will definitely come back!

Spring Break

We had an amazing week staying at this property. Perfectly located within the resort and so close to everything Tamarindo has to offer. Could have used a little more clarity as to where to get dropped off during check-in but overall this property and the owners are first class. Highly recommended.

This place was a ten. Wow. The deck and lawn area were the real deal. I could have sat outside all week. You can’t tell from the photos but you can definitely see the pacific from the patio. The inside is beautiful. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The resort grounds were awesome. There is a ton of beach chairs, coolers, towels, toys, etc. Great restaurants and the ocean were steps away. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. One bit of advice—read the directions from the property manager carefully. I didn’t and we ended up walking our luggage up the hill from the hotel. I saw other luggage tracks in the gravel road so it’s clear we weren’t the first, lol. It’s a pretty sweaty way to start vacation. Make sure you driver takes you inside the condo gates and up the hill so your trip starts off the right way!
