A truly enchanting escape in Playa Langosta, away from the hustle of Tamarindo. My family had a marvelous stay. Great memories made. The host and the management (RPM) were responsive and very accommodating. Highly recommend Villa Encantada!

We loved our stay! It was within walking distance to the beach and many restaurants and shops. It was spacious and the private pool was amazing! I would highly recommend for any family vacationing in this area. 10/10!!

great vacation spot

Beautiful house and location..pool outstanding..beach access across the road but not a spot to go swimming..inundated by ants in some areas of home..no outdoor shower which would have been nice..close to a few restaurants and close to Tamarindo..a grocery store close by too..overall a place i would go back too

Perfect for families. Far enough from main area of Tamarindo to be quiet, but close enough to walk or very short drive. Beach access to Playa Langosta across the street. The pool is heavenly and private. Russell was extremely available and communicative. Would highly recommend. Tandoor is a solid Indian restaurant literally next door, and Fish and Cheeses is a very good Italian restaurant 3-5 min walk away. They had plenty of homemade pastas, cheese, and even guanciale!

Family Friendly...An Oasis!!

Very easy to get there with the directions provided. With temeratures in the mid 90 (30 C) we loved the private pool and used it often.Very safe and quiet to sleep with the windows open. Doing so allowed us to hear the Howler monkeys in the morning...Magical experience.

Charming villa

Location was great. One minute walk to beach to watch the sunset almost every evening. Property management was very responsive to any needs that we had. Real old world, charm and a beautiful outdoor area with trees, plants and a pool. location. Quiet area, but yet only four minutes away by golf cart to Tamarindo, where a lot of action is going on. I would definitely recommend this place.

Fabulous house and wonderful hosts

I can't say enough about this place and the hosts! The house is beautifully decorated with all the amenities we wanted. The hosts were rapid in their responses to our questions and Tamarindo Beach is a special area.

Private Retreat

Villa Encantada is a quiet, private place close to a beautiful, uncrowded beach and several good restaurants. The property is well-maintained, well-stocked, and comfortable. We look forward to returning.

Relaxing week at the Villa

Great location - close enough to hop on a Bird scooter or rent a bike for getting into Tamarindo (~5 mins by scooter), but no noise from town. Lovely to sit by the pool and read, take a dip and read some more! Comfortable beds and bedding, kitchen was clean. Would definitely stay again.

Villa Encantada

Had the most amazing stay!! The place was fantastic. Howler monkeys cross over the trees at dawn and dusk. Pool is so amazing, when we were at the house we stayed in the glorious pool as much as possible. Thank you!

Beautiful space!

We instantly felt right at home at Villa Encantada, the space is stunning, the beds were comfortable, the pool temperature was perfect. Aside from the constant construction I think the house was perfect to host us for our girls trip. It was right across the street to the quiet beach and a short 20 minute walk to the town center.

Magical Gem in Tamarindo!

THIS was our best family vacay yet! And we have traveled all over the world. We felt like we were entering a Moroccan oasis… in Costa Rica. We LOVED the pool. We cooked the whole 8 days and had everything we needed. The villa is right across the street from the most gorgeous sunset. Owners were responsive and care…great hosts! We got to see a monkey family right outside the villa. The location is quiet yet still central to everything. We will be back! Pura Vida.

1st time in Costa Rica

The rooms were comfortable and we slept well with the sound of rain in the outdoor living spaces. We had a chef prepare a delicious brunch. The beach is beautiful and a short walk across the street. The house and pool are perfect for the setting in the quaint town of Tamarindo. Would highly recommend, and will be back to stay again. Thank you!!!!

The perfect location for our family vacation!

This home was beyond perfect for our family of 6- all adults. We loved the layout (private baths for each bedroom- each open air) and decor, the pool, the well stocked kitchen and most importantly, the proximity to the beach! There is a short path right across the street that leads to the most gorgeous beach. Although not ideal for swimming (too rocky) it does have tidal pools for lounging and the most gorgeous sunset viewing! Russ was so helpful from the time of booking and in the days leading up to our stay. We were on the go much of the time, but were always so happy to return home to the villa. We can't wait to return!

The Sweet Spot

The pictures of this property are accurate. The location and facilities really hit the sweet spot. The property is across the street from a comparatively unpopulated beach and there is an easy access path. It's not far to get to the really populated Tamarindo beach when that is what you want. At the middle of the day when you want to get out of the sun and take a break the private pool and courtyard are heaven on earth. Just add your favorite beverage and relax; we spent A LOT of time doing just that. Host communications were a breeze.

Perfect hideaway right outside of Tamarindo!!!

We had our family vacation with our adult kids and we always try to do a destination Christmas! This villa was the perfect place for us. Everyone has their own space and the pool in courtyard with the fountain was so serene. The kids went to surf and my husband and I enjoyed hanging out at the villa. I would recommend Russ and Duncan’s place to anyone!! Pura Vida!!

Great Property!

Had a great time! House is just as shown in pictures. Pool was amazing. With in walking distance to several good restaurants. The beach that you can walk to is really pretty, but isn’t really swimmable, it has lots of big rocks. But you can drive (about two min) or walk (abojt 20 min to another beach that is. Property manager was easy to contact. Overall great time!

Annual Winter Escape

The Villa could not have been more perfect in every way. It's our favorite stay out many annual visits to Tamarindo. We six ladies plan to return to enjoy the villa, the sunshine and the hospitality. And at our request hosts had installed key pad door locks so we never had to search for or try to share keys. So thoughtful and much appreciated. Hosts were very accessible by prompt email with all our extra planning questions.

Birthday Celebration

The property was charming. A pool with a fountain running welcomed us and inside the house was painted in beautiful colors. The accommodations were exceptional. The beds incredible comfortable. We had a few minor issues (the water for showers was lukewarm for example) but the property management company addressed those immediately. We rented a golf cart and were able to get around town quite easily. Despite the rain we had a blast and the neighborhood was quiet. I can’t say the we were but then how often does one turn seventy! It is one I will never forget

Villa Encantada: La Pura Vida

First of all, Russ and Duncan are amazing hosts, very attentive to the needs of their tenants and very accessible. The villa is located in a quiet location very close to the beach and 25 minutes walk from Tamarindo, a lively place filled with very good restaurants and very trendy shops. The layout of the villa was perfect for our family (5 adults) and was very well equipped. And what about the swimming pool area, wow! Thanks again to Russ and Duncan for allowing us to live in their magnificent property. We now know what Pura Vida is!!

Great place and memorable stay

Stayed for 8 days, with my three kids, 5, 10, and 16. The description of the property was accurate, and it was beautiful. From the private pool, amazing showers, and decor, all made the stay very relaxing. A few bounuses included the wildlife right there: iguana's, howling monkey, and butterflies. The beach across the street was also amazing. We mabe saw a handful of people at most, and spent most of our days hanging out there. We didn't even need a car, as taxi's and golf cart rentals are available to get you into town, if you care to hit the local shops or grocery store. We have donr many beach vacations all over the world, and this is place is one of the top locations we have visited. Thanks for having us!
