My family and I had an incredible week at your house. Very clean and organized. The view was amazing

We have done allot of travel over the years. This was easily the most incredible place we have been to.

The hacienda style house is spectacular, creatively decorated and has amazing views. Very clean and the staff is very attentive. Having JC nearby on site was very helpful too. Kitchen is well stocked and the BBQ grill is a nice amenity. The landscape around the property is so lush and pretty. Great location right near the beach and town. Sunsets are fabulous! We would recommend this location for anyone with a group of people. The road to the house is not good however and really needs to be paved for the sake of the residents and drivers. Shower drains need to be snaked and cleared for better drainage.

Beyond expectations

The property was as beautiful as advertised, and the property managers rpm. and Juan Carlos went above, and beyond what we expected. Had a great stay in Costa Rica, and our accommodations were a big part of that thank you for everything Lola, German, and Juan Carlos.

Beautiful Tamarindo Villa

This is a beautiful house with a stunning view that is close to Tamarindo town and beaches. Property was extremely clean and well kept and communication and help through RPM and onsite property manager was excellent. Highly recommend chef Fabien who cooked a superb dinner. Also Maria provided an incredible cooking class for our children. All around great rental!!

Amazing family vacation

From the moment you step on property, it is an incredible view perched upon a hill with fabulous sunsets. The property manager was very helpful and nice. Very highly recommended for our family vacation. The house is very clean & well appointed. A few things to note... only one parking spot so might want to consuder gas powered golf carts (need power for the steep hill) or atvs. Its also easy & cheap to uber down the hill to town. Also the bedroom setup is a bit different than anticipated. There are 3 room setups. Master bedroom & bath with another bedroom (no separation/privacy). Second is a two story guest house with 2 bedrooms, both with ensite baths. Third is lower level two bedrooms sharing a bathroom & living area. There's also a laundry area with double machines. Highly recommended & would return!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We brought 11 people to Tamarindo (Casa Colina del Mar) for a family get-together over the holidays. It was an excellent experience. The property is spectacular; the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It all went nearly perfectly. We delivered a set of repair recommendations to the property manager (Juan Carlos) which were minor, but need to be addressed. The only problem was the hill to get to Casa Colina --it is challenging, to say the least. It's a trade-off between view/proximity and ease of access to downtown.

The view is worth it!

Reviewer Comments: We were a group of 2 families and the layout of the home was fantastic in providing separate living spaces for all of us. As soon as you open the front gate you are greeted with one of the most spectacular views. Tamarindo is a bustling little town with lots of activity. The villa was a treat to step away and relax in after a daytrip or day on the beach. It is so peaceful and serene. It is quite a climb on foot to reach the property. Taxis are readily available if you don't want the exercise. Our group rented a golf cart which was so handy for trips to the beach and grocery stores. If you rent a golf cart (we rented from the kiosk at the Auto Mercato) - let them know where you are staying. We had an issue with our golf cart but the owner of the golf cart company will be able to rectify this if they know where your villa is. For the price of the villa rental, there are a few shortcomings - no hair dryers, glassware and silverware have been around way too long. There are no extras with respect to sporting equipment. We purchased 2 boogie boards at 70USD each, a volleyball, paddleball set to add to our enjoyment - thought it would have been nice if some of these things were already there. All in all, it was a fantastic property and it was a great part of our enjoyment in Tamarindo. Check out Black Stallion Ranch on Trip Advisor - this is a gorgeous property about 10 minutes from town. They offer an evening BBQ with the most fantastic food. The host, Alex goes above and beyond to provide a very memorable experience. They have a shuttle available that can transport people to his ranch or a taxi will cost about $10. The price of the BBQ includes all drinks and food. The ziplines at the ranch offer one of the most beautiful views in the area.

The photos are incredible, but do not even do the beauty of the house justice. Amazing views, fantastic infinity pool, more than enough room, and a thoughtful layout greeted us and left us all in awe. This was true paradise. The housr and grounds were well kept and extremely clean. Our contact Lindsay was incredibly helpful, and I would most definitely work with them again if I ever return to Costa Rica.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The best feature after the view is the infinity pool, which was the perfect temperature. We were a group of 12, mostly active senior couples, from NY, CA , SC and London, getting together to enjoy a vacation in a beautiful spot. We all enjoyed the 2-hr trip up the estuary viewing crocs, howler monkeys, many species of bird and sea creatures.The layout of the house affords exceptional privacy, high-end details and furnishings, and very helpful caretakers who took care of our every need and question. Tennis was walking distance with excellent facilities. Favorite restaurant was Nogie's on the beachfront; incredibly fresh seafood, good service, moderate prices, great view - ate there three times!

Beautiful spot!

I traveled to Costa Rica for the first time with my three children, my Mom, my brother and his kids and a nanny. I can't tell you how beautiful this house is and the obvious thought that went into the design... the way the house sits on the property to capture its surrounding beauty are second to none. I was able to have my small children near me in the main house adjacent to the MBR. My brother and his teenage boys had very private quarters at the level below the pool and my Mom and nanny were able to each have their own bedroom on different levels in the guest apt. The interiors were immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The infinity pool is spectacular, we actually never wanted to leave the house! The recommended restaurants were awesome and we were able to truly experience the Costa Rican culture. I would highly recommend this house for a beautiful, private, relaxing vacation.

What a view!

Can't think of a better place to escape to. An absolutely beautiful setting looking out over the water. Great pool. Each room has a fantastic view and the set up allows everyone to have privacy while also having all the rooms close together.

The setting was beautiful!

This property was lovely, and provided the privacy of separate accommodations on different levels, plus a comfortable living space for the family to gather for meals and conversation. The location at the top of a hill provides beautiful vistas in all directions, and the wildlife watching was fascinating. The home was immaculately maintained. We enjoyed the endless pool, as well as the suggestions for delicious meals at several area restaurants which were provided. The beach at the bottom of the hill was convenient for our surfing kids.

Spectacular!

This is a fantastic vacation home with breathtaking million dollar views. The property is large, clean, modern with everything anyone can ask for. The property manager is friendly and helpful. The pool is great and the landscaping is beautiful and well cared for. We will definitely be back!!

Colina Del Mar Tamarindo Costa Rica

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying an extended vacation at Colina Del Mar in Tamarindo Costa Rica last January. A blizzard in the New York area made it impossible to return on our scheduled flight. The owners were extremely understanding and generous, allowing us to extend our stay. The main house and additional residential quarters in the compound are situated on the site in a perfect way to accommodate large families or groups of friends. Guests are free to enjoy the large common areas and significant exterior terraces as well as the privacy of their individual residences and outdoor spaces. There is a short steep road from the main paved road that takes you to Colina del Mar. The climb affords spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, estuary and amazing sunsets. The location, at the perimeter of downtown Tamarindo, allows easy access to beach activities, restaurants and shopping while also providing privacy, tranquility, and access to nature on the property. Bird watching was a lovely surprise. Our favorite aspects of the house were the outdoor dining area and the beautiful infinity pool, both of which, maximized the refreshing breezes and spectacular view. My husband and I plan to return to CDM with our extended family as our guests. We can't think of a more perfect place to relax and enjoy each others company.

Happy Travelers

I enjoyed every bit of my stay. The layout is perfect for both privacy and socializing. Especially the wonderful sitting area on the veranda looking over the Estuary and beach. Everything is convenient, the kitchen is an easy access to a beautiful outdoor dining area every detail was perfect not even a leaf in the pool. You feel like your in heaven at the treetops looking over the most spectacular view I have ever seen. The cleanliness was impeccable! The staff is so kind they are at your beck and call all the time making sure you have everything you need,but at the same time they stay quietly out of the way. Our trip to town was easy, just ride down the hill. your there in less than five minutes, and a walk across the street through a really beautiful jungle path puts you on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It was truly a magical experience of peace and serenity. The restaurants in the town were delicious! everyone was very welcoming and the food was fresh and perfect. wonderful !

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: located at the top of a mountain made it very difficult to be spontaneous. Taxis were $12 just to go up or down the mountain, $20 to get to town. The kitchen was poorly equipped, not a salt and pepper shaker to be found, no paper towels or paper plates.While the views and pool were absolutely spectacular. The interior was a bit shabby and needed some updating. while it is not unusual to run out of water our caretakers recommended that we bring in extra water for ourselves. Since we were on top of a mountain it would have been more appropriate for them to use their vehicle to bring more water to the residence. I would not recommend staying here.

The view is priceless, and the house is clean, up-to-date and spacious. We had a group of 5 couples in our late 20s and it was perfect. It was quite a walk up/down hill to town, but we were told this prior to booking. We walked down almost every day, but usually paid $5-10 for a cab up - well worth it! We would definitely recommend this house!

Great pool, outdoor sitting areas, large bed rooms, good general inside areas. Great view from most rooms. Plenty of space. in short fantastic
