Really enjoyed our short stay at this retreat!

Evan was amazing and greeted us on arrival. location was superb! views were amazing and just shame we didn't stay longer! hopefully return in the future and I would fully recommend for someone planning a quiet escape!

Wonderful stay, gorgeous location

Thank you for a wonderful stay in a gorgeous location. The cottage had everything we needed and the hot tub was wonderful after doing some good hill walks. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the White Lion in Talybont - a proper pub! Thank you Evan for your hospitality, we will be back!

Wonderful Christmas stay

Thank you Evan for our wonderful stay here over Christmas. I know my family loved it here in Helygen as much as I did. I also liked Taff, it was fun when he came to play with our dog.

We have had the best weekend at Helygen, the most beautiful place in a beautiful location.

Our home from home in Wales!

We've lost count of the number of times that we’ve been back now - it’s our home from home in Wales! It’s such a lovely peaceful place to stay and the girls love the hot tub. It’s so nice to come back to a lovely warm and cosy house. Evan is the perfect host and we enjoy seeing him too. We’ll be back!

This is our second time here and it was just as wonderful as the first.

Our daughter was 18 months is now 4, we now have a little boy. The cottage is so peaceful and Evan is so warm and friendly and hard working. We will definitely be back again to enjoy scenery and tranquillity.

Another fantastic stay at Helygen.

We loved to see the lambs in the fields next to the cottage, sometimes we see them being born! We all enjoy staying here as there is so much going on around in the area. The hot tub is a big attraction as well. We will be back again in October. Thank you Evan.

Idyllic views of the Welsh hillside in a very rural location and staying within a lovely barn conver

Perfect for peaceful holidays away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The host, Evan, was very friendly and welcoming but also left you to your own devices. To note: the garden was enclosed for the most part, however our two Cavapoo’s could easily escape under the gate and had to be kept on lead whenever outside due to neighbouring fields with sheep. A small inconvenience but well worth knowing when booking if you have a small dog!

This is our third stay with Evan and we already look forward to the next visit!

We have stayed in both Helygen and Eithinog and have always found them to be of a high standard and immaculate condition. Sitting in the hot tub looking out at the beautiful view is one of our favourite ways to relax after a day of exploring. We recommend visiting the Red Kite feeding center, the Rheidol Railway to Devils Bridge and Corris Craft center. Morgan’s Butchers in Aberystwyth is a great spot for a carvery roll and if it’s dry head up Constitution Hill, the views are spectacular. Aberdyfyi is also worth a visit. Evan you have been as always, a wonderful host. Thank you for always taking care of us and ensuring we have a great stay. The work you and Carol put into these cottages really shines through and it feels like a second home to us. You are the hardest working man we know and have the biggest heart. Stay safe, keep well and we’ll see you soon! All our love as always.
