"For someone who doesn't drive, this is a perfect spot, 10mins walk from train station, and local village, bus right outside property going to whitby and the moors. Accommodation itself perfect, everything you need and the hot tub was a bonus, very quiet area"

"We asked for aground floor as we do not do well with steps and they put us in an annex which was obviously new and was just right for us. Our fault that we didn't ask for clean towels etc. The staff are all very welcoming and the meals variable and very enjoyable."

"Really nice clean room and the staff were more than helpful and friendly however the food was unfortunately a disappointment with the rib eye steak being of poor quality, the onion rings being undercooked and the mushrooms being cold. The wait for food was also longer than expected. "

The evening menu (££££) looked amazing, however I was not wanting a rich meal . So they let me order a sandwich. My husband enjoyed the fish pie. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent quality with plenty of choice. "
