Perched above a sandy white beach framing crystal clear, turquoise waters, the setting is second is simply spectacular. Few locations in the Tahoe basin can boast the unique beauty Rubicon Bay offers. Surrounded by pine trees with snow capped mountain vistas and a panorama of blue that stretches as far as the eye can see, this vacation rental home offers a unique opportunity to experience the the crown jewel of California. Outfitted with six bedrooms, this spacious property can easily accomodate the extended family. The great room, with an open floor plan, is ideal for congregating with loved ones with a cozy gas fireplace, 55" TV, wet bar with counter seating, large dining table with comfortable seating for 12, kitchen that is a chef's dream and of course stunning lake views. The family room is the spot for entertainment with a pool table, second fireplace, piano and TV. All the bedrooms are outfitted with luxurious linens and down comforters and provide the entire family sufficient space to enjoy some true relaxation. For those who may need a little more quiet time, the detached bedroom above the garage offers a mini kitchen area, king bed with 2 twins in an adjoining area and full bathroom. Outside, the deck is outfitted in the summer with lovely patio furnishings and a fire pit to bring the conversation into open air and the "meadow" area is the perfect place to have the kids run, toss the ball or simply lounge in the sun.

    Pets Considered

    SECURITY CAMERA(S): This home has two active cameras. There is one at the doorbell and one overlooking the driveway. Please inquire with TLUXP if you have any questions or concerns prior to booking.

    Pet Policy
    Pets are allowed only at properties that indicate Pets Considered in the amenities tab. If you are planning to bring your pet, please conduct your search specifically for a home that is pet-friendly. Prior written approval is required, and a pet fee applies. Please call our office to inquire about your pet, as homes may have varying policies.

    County Rules
    Each county requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. We thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below, also included in your signed in the Vacation Rental Agreement.

    Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
    Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.

    Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week, Noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water. Per the ordinance: No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.

    Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.

    Red Flag Warnings: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winds, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.

    Winter Driving
    Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle.     Summer Patio Furniture
    Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.

    Be Bear Aware
    Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

    Office Holiday Hours
    The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.
