"Lazy Bear Lodge is a great West Shore place for summer activities; ideal for spending days at Meeks, Chambers, or heading up to float the Truckee. Kitchen had everything we needed. The front seems pretty hemmed in by the neighbors but the back of the property opens up to the woods. We got to see a bear and her two cubs roll past one evening which was exciting for the kids. "Our family ski trip to Lake Tahoe was nothing short of magical! "We had the loveliest stay at Alpenglow Aerie! We were two families with 5 children staying over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is beautifully decorated and has the most spectacular views of the mountains and lake. It was the perfect place to unwind after a hike or bike ride. "Nicely decorated unit, clean and inviting; the host stayed close communication with us throughout our stay; our questions and requests were all promptly answered and attended to. Amenities are functioning properly except the range hood, perhaps consider a replacement as it is very noisy and not really functioning well.
