Wonderful Tahoe Stay

We had a fantastic weekend at this beautiful Tahoe property! Upon arrival, there was a small issue where the accommodations weren’t quite ready, but the owner, Doug, was incredibly responsive and accommodating. He made sure everything was taken care of quickly, and we really appreciated his efforts to ensure our stay was still smooth and enjoyable.The property itself is stunning, and the setting was perfect for a summer getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils and appliances we needed, which made cooking a breeze. My family and pets had an amazing time relaxing and enjoying everything this property had to offer.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped retreat in Tahoe!

It is a great property and the host was very helpful and easy to work with. There are plenty of places for people to sleep so good for large groups. We had 2 couples and the rest were 20-23 year olds who were happy to share rooms and sleep on bunk beds. The only hard thing for 2 couple is there is only one bedroom with an

This is a beautiful house. I would not consider any of it LUXURY as it is repeatedly described, but it is beautiful and a great location. The first thing that should have been very clearly stated is that you must go down a steep set of stairs from where you park to get in the house. There is no other place to park and get in. We had older family members and my grandma who is in a wheelchair, so it was very difficult and dangerous to get them in and out of the house. We stayed over Christmas week and it was very cold and icy. I absolutely would not have chose this house for this particular vacation if I had known that. There also is no blinds or window coverings on ANY of the windows except for the game room. All bedrooms and living room are clearly visible by neighboring houses. It’s also bright in every bedroom as soon as the sun came up. The kitchen has a very large fridge, which was very convenient for our group since we cooked at the house most days, but only two burners on the stove worked and the shelf in the oven is broken, so all pans slide to the oven door. I had to buy pans and cookie sheets because almost everything in the cabinets was old ceramic that food stuck to, or scratched and rusted. There was a variety of appliances which was also useful. The living room only has one couch, not two as pictured, so everyone had to sit on the hardwood floor or barstools to watch TV together. The owner let himself in one morning which was a surprise to us and inappropriate.

Fun retreat!

kitchen/great room, rooms, beds, bathrooms, deck all great. One note: the pull out bed in the Rec room was too dirty to use-we had a spare blow up so used that instead. Stove/oven in kitchen great. Could not get pizza oven to stay lit even changing tanks to a full one. Could not get BBQ or fire pit to light. Tank was fine-we took it down to the Beach and BBQ'd there. Loved time at TP Beach! Returned access card under large bear on top of pantry cupboard.

Perfect weekend stay

This place was perfect for a fun weekend with friends. It has all the necessary things for a large group and fits many people very effectively. Host and everyone involved was very responsive and helpful when we needed it. Would definitely recommend.

Great property and location!

Place has a huge deck with beautiful view for hanging out/dining/games with family. Well stocked with cooking implements, large fridge and freezer. We enjoyed our stay.

Wedding weekend

We rented the house for our daughter’s wedding weekend. We had a few friends and family stay over after the wedding and the house was just what we needed. Doug was very helpful answering questions I had quickly. We held the reception there. The kitchen was well stocked we did our own food for about 23 people.

Grandparents Dream Vacation

We had a large group, 8 adults, 2 teens and 6 children and the house was perfect for our group. The home was large enough for everyone to feel comfortable, the home was close to the lake, close to town and convenient to all that Lake Tahoe has to offer. The home had plenty of amenities to keep everyone busy even when we were not swimming on the lake or hiking on a trail. We highly recommend this home for any large group, especially for a group with with kids of all ages.

Great group destination

We had the most wonderful stay at the Bear Lodge for my husband's 40th birthday. The set up is perfect for a group with plenty of space for dining (indoors and outdoors), sleeping and hanging out. We loved spending time on the deck soaking in the sun and view of the lake. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed to make delicious dinners (including a pizza oven!). Highly recommend this place to stay!

Better than home

Terrific home and location. It has everything most profecient home cooks could want. What's great is the owners don't throw out perfectly good left over cans/tubs/tubes/jars/bottles of condiments. It's got all you need for your stay. Fantastic stay.

Tahoe Family Gathering

Overall, this home was great, because it provided us the opportunity to fit both sides of our family(party of 18) and the owner was great to communicate with. If there was an issue, he appreciated the feedback and the opportunity to fix the issue right away. Everyone had a great time celebrating my husband's 40th birthday. We hung out mostly upstairs in the living room and deck area. We cooked all our meals for the 4 night stay, so having two fridges(one upstairs and one downstairs) was helpful to store all the food. It would have been nice to have more pantry space, but we made it work. We had 5 kids, and one of them was a 1 1/2 year old. It was nice the house had a baby gate, high chair and play yard. The backyard was not as kid friendly, but it was nice to be able to have a short drive to Commons Beach for them to play at the playground. Overall, we would stay here again!

Best-stocked rental home I’ve ever visited

This is an incredible rental property. We all agreed that we had never seen a VRBO or other home better-stocked. Condiments, cooking necessities, a pizza oven, extra propane, red solo cups, ping pong balls, even some beers in the fridge! These are elite and very communicative hosts. Great proximity to water, town, parks, and activities. We had a 10/10 experience and would urge any group to stay at this home. Thank you, hosts!
