Family vacation

We had two families of four stay at this property and it worked out very well. Great access to the bike trail and public beaches are not far. The place is in great shape and there is plenty of room for two + families.

The Perfect Getaway Spot

This place was truly a gem!!! From location to amenities to ease of check-in and check-out, it was perfect. Close to everything. The cabin was clean and very well stocked with everything we could need. We would definitely stay here again!

Phenomenal stay!!

The property was fantastic. The location was perfect…close to the bike path and Commons Beach. Easy to drive to north and south Tahoe. The kitchen was super stocked with loads of spices and all of the cooking gear you need.

Great space for a family vacation.

The property was exactly what it looked like. The layout is great for a family because the kitchen is open to the dining area and living room. The bedrooms were perfect for us with one having bunk beds. Close to town and all you need.

Felt like home

This home is amazing. It over exceeded our expectations. Note, with no AC, the house has warm during the day, but cooled off quickly for a perfect nights sleep.

Tahoe family time

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well appointed, spacious home! It has everything we needed…. even a aeroncinno to make steamed milk for our morning coffee! There aren’t many rental properties as comfortable as home, but this one definitely is!

Lovely Home with Everything You Need for a Relaxing/Fun Stay at the Lake

We and our group truly enjoyed staying at The Gem. The open floor plan in the kitchen/dining/living room area was perfect for game nights and/or just hanging out, and the arcade games and ping pong table provided tons of fun throughout our stay. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed, and the neighborhood was great to walk around in for some fresh Tahoe air. Thanks for having us!

The Gem is an appropriate name

Great property and location. Well stocked and everything was labeled. It was cold outside but never in the house. Very clean and comfortable. The ping pong table was utilized quite a bit. Close to amenities but quiet neighborhood. I would recommend this house to everyone and look forward to staying again in the future.

Super Bowl Ski Weekend

Couldn’t have picked a better spot for our annual gathering of friends. Accommodations are perfect for 5-6 people with plenty of space for relaxing, cooking and sharing a meal together. Even better outside winter when you can enjoy the many decks and patios. Having use of garage is an excellent perk you don’t find in many rentals. Neighborhood and location are excellent for taking in the town, lake views and just getting a walk in. We’ll be back!

Would give 4.5 Stars if able The house is nice and spacious and very well appointed, lovely and very functional kitchen and good appliances. But there is no hot tub as of August 1, 2025 and a significant amount of construction materials for the bedroom views. We felt misled about the hot tub and received a message on day of check in that no hot tub was available. Noisy neighbors had late night parties two nights.

Family getaway in the snow

We went up to Lake Tahoe with another family and our teenage and young children to celebrate my daughters birthday. The house was in a great location everything was very clean. Loved that the teenagers got the lower level to have their own space. We used shovels and made a mini sled hill in the yard and dig out a big snow pile and made a snow cave! The kitchen was awesome. Had everything you needed. We cooked breakfast lunch and dinner in the house. Only complaint was we struggled to get football on their tV luckily I brought my Apple TV and got it to stream! All in all a great place to stay!!

Lovely property and great location in Dollar Point. The house is well appointed and was perfect for our ladies getaway. The only downside was that we received a text on our way up saying the hot tub was not working and unusable during our five night stay. An amenity we were really looking forward to. Other than that I would stay there again with family and friends.

Great place for family ski getaway

Great common areas - kitchen, dining area, living room, hot tub -for get-together of adult family. Close to market, restaurants, lake, X-country skiing.... Had a great time!

Very nice home, lovely views of lake

Some things are unavoidable with inclement weather. We had a power situation that could have been far worse. It was resolved an hour after check-in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our 115 lb puppy loved the snow.

Definitely a Gem!

The Gem at Dollar Point was a 10/10! The house was exceptionally clean, well-equipped kitchen, and everything was top quality. For us, we prefer the chill nature of N. Lake Tahoe, so the location was excellent! And the peak-a-boo lake views from the sunroom was the best! The neighborhood was nice, quiet, and the little town near by so cute and convenient. We cannot wait to stay here again!

SUPERBLY EQUIPPED

This spacious house is suitable for parties much larger than our party of 3 but we love space and enjoyed all the space here. We also enjoyed how well the house is equipped. Aside from all the things noted in the house description - superbly equipped kitchen, jacuzzi, 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 bathrooms etc. - many other conveniences were provided. For example, 2 comfortable desk areas, an HDMI cable already connected to the TV for laptops, loads of USB charging points and supplies of aluminum foil and plastic bags so useful for food storage. There were also great items which we did not get to use, like table tennis and 2 bikes. In short, this was the best equipped VRBO we have stayed in. It was also great to have access to the 2-car garage which is so neat and tidy that I got some reminders about our garage! We also loved all the helpful labels. So much better than trying to work out which light switches operate which light then having to remember the same. The location is great too. Far enough from Tahoe City but not too far. We would stay here agin if the opportunity arose.
