We used the cabin as a base for hiking in the Tahoe National Forest. We found it as advertised and convenient to trails on the California side of the lake. Definitely recommend for you consideration.

Great stay

Walkable to beach, grocery store, Spoon, and bike rental shop. On bike paths and near mountain biking trails. A few miles from Tahoe City and surrounding gems in Tahoe (Desolation, Emerald Bay, Meek's Bay) etc. Cozy home for 2. Watch out for the bears! (they are apparently more active in late summer :) )

Perfect location for Lake Tahoe!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The location is so incredible-we walked all weekend to restaurants, the market for coffee and sandwiches, activities to kayak, breakfast and the private beach. It was so nice not having to get in the car and deal with parking constantly. The cabin did feel a bit dated as far as overall appeal and the stairs/ladder to get upstairs felt outright dangerous in my opinion. It is not a normal ladder and is very tedious and difficult to get up and down. We loved the backyard as well-not much privacy as there is a campground and campsites right in the backyard but we didn't really mind that. We would stay again, thank you!

Always love this location

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed at cottage many times. Bathroom sink badly plugged up. Light/fan switch right side of bathroom mirror is broken and only works part time. Big shade next to cast iron heater seems broken as two years ago. I was trying to close it and may have been the straw that broke the camels back. We love this place and will be back many times.

Cozy little cabin with a great location

The best thing about this cabin is the location. It's walking distance to a private beach. We were able to keep our paddleboard inflated for the entire time and just haul it back and forth. The kids loved the upstairs loft/bedroom --> used it as their own little hideaway. The only thing to be careful of is the stairs to the attic. The adults hit their shins a few times each while the kids had no problem at all. The host is very responsive and was able to get a plumber over to the property really quickly for a quick repair. Definitely recommend this for a couple or a small family stay.

Location is what's special here

Having been a host for many years, I was disappointed with the lack of details that make a vacation property special. Beginning with a lock box (inconvenient, when a key pad lock is much more user friendly) and unclear check-in procedures, to broken window blinds and outdoor umbrellas. Not even a little coffee to get us through the next morning. The only closet space was in a utility closet. Details like that are what make the difference between an okay stay and a memorable one. That being said, the unit was clean and the towels were fluffy and to top the list, the location is great. Having access to Tahoe Park makes up for all this. So, just know that this cabin is basic but located in a very special spot on Lake Tahoe.

Tahoe Park Cottage

My wife and I booked this cabin for three nights for my 38th birthday which happens to fall on Memorial Day weekend. Check in was a breeze, the location is ideal (walking distance to a market, restaurants and Lake Tahoe), and the cabin provides basically everything you need for a few nights stay. Highly recommend!! Pro tip: if you are a shorter person - maybe bring a step stool to get into the bed. It is strangely high off the ground. We just laughed and loved it.

Close to the water/rental shops/restaurants/market. The house was clean and prepared nicely when we arrived. We had small issues with workers coming to work on the house or clean the hot tub that slightly interrupted our stay but nothing to make a huge deal about. All in all it was the perfect little house for our vacation. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Little Cabin-- We'll be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time staying here over the July 4th week. It is crowded in Tahoe at that time, and it was great to be able to park and then just walk or bike anywhere we wanted to go. We'd walk 3 minutes to all the Sunnyside amenities (Fire Sign Cafe, market, Tahoe Park owners beach, Sunnyside Lodge and boat rentals). It was an easy bike for dinner in Tahoe City and Homewood (highly recommend the West Shore Cafe in Homewood for a treat). The house was perfect for two of us, and we even had a friend stay in the cute (and big!) upstairs loft one night. It would work for 4 people who know each other well. The house was well-stocked, including propane for the BBQ. A few things to point out: the campground is right off of the back yard with only a post fence between. We had no problem with our tent neighbors, but the wrong group could spoil it. It was noisy just right at sundown as all of the happy camping kids wrapped up their days. The couch is a little sinky (but there are plenty of pillow to bolster it up). Otherwise, it was perfect.

Just a few minor things had some issues with the drain in the shower and the sink in the bathroom didn’t drain much at all but we did let management know when they said it would be taken care of. Also the place overall was clean, except for my daughter that slept upstairs said there are some dog hair on the blanket on her bed. Which we probably noticed more than others might since we don’t have pets at home. Overall a great stay at a great location.

Great location and super cozy cabin

Great place to stay! Gas fireplace kept the cabin warm and toasty. The cabin is walking distance to the corner market and some wonderful restaurants! Would recommend.

The beach, market, & restaurants were down the street & so easy to get to since summer can get crowded. There is a campground that backs the property but everyone that camped there was quiet. House is well stocked. The bed, bedding & towels were all soft & comfy. Hosts were also so nice & quick to respond, they even let me check in early. Can’t wait to stay again.
