We are sorry that this happened, we have had issues/glitches with VRBO in the past regarding what’s on the website and what’s at the property. The site showed a pool in the past, we have no pool. If there’s no pictures of something specific that you are looking for that would indicate there is none. If no one has written about it in a review that does also indicate there is none. Or if it is really important just send the owner an email to double check.

Sorry to hear about the WiFi, it seems to have been a problem in the area for some time … We are having another company come and do an install tomorrow so fingers crossed this company will be better !! A/C issue yes unfortunately it can get a bit toasty in the summer but if you open up all the windows and use all the fans it helps a lot, however there is those nights where it just won’t cool off. It is clearly stated that a cancellation must be 60 days prior to the rental in order to receive a full refund. VRBO does offer insurance which we highly recommend. The insurance is there in case you cannot make it for ANY reason especially when it is no fault of your own. The insurance is not typically there for you in case you don’t "feel like” going. In this case there was a snow storm which is very common for the mountains and was not a natural disaster. The snow storm was not a surprise and with proper planning could have been overcome. When COVID 19 broke out and many people needed to cancel, we did indeed refund everyone’s money even if it was within the 60 days. There were a number of people who wanted to rent the cabin during this time, in fact the people who were there prior to this rental time wanted to stay but we had to decline to insure the availability for Mr Buntith C. There are many people that are needed to operate the cabin. We have cleaning people, snow removal etc… who rely on the cabin’s occupancy to make a living and support the local economy. Simply cancelling their services at the last minute thru no fault of their own is not an option. We wish the circumstances did not happen to Mr Buntith C and wish there was something we could have done differently.

We are sorry you didn’t have a good stay! I will have a chat with the cleaning crew and will look into buying more fans. It is a cabin in the woods after all😉 And we are working on getting a new set of couches ,it’s been complicated during covid. Hopefully there will be one soon. There is a new couch and coffee table. Hi Kathy We are so sorry about the incorrect information about the A/C to be honest we have no idea why it was stated that way, we have been renting out this cabin for 15 years and it has always said no A/C . We also had a renter ask about the pool and we have no pool. As for the lake view it states scattered lake view, which means view in between trees. The pictures you refer to might be the once from the private beach. Have a great summer !

Hi Kevin We are sorry you were not happy with your stay, wish you would had contacted us right away. I have been up there since and I have cleaned all the dishes and above the fridge and the cabinets. We also have a new cleaning lady so I let her know to keep an eye on these things. As for the furnace we had someone come and take a look at it and we are doing everything we can to get someone in to fix it. This time a year it’s hard to find people who have an open spot the person who came and looked at it said they are fully booked until next summer 😳.
