"The surroundings are lovely, the room was very comfortable and cleaned daily. It wasn’t the weather for the pool so didn’t swim but I imagine it to be perfect on a hot day. One of the most relaxing stays I’ve had anywhere with kind friendly staff and delicious well priced food. "La Dao was amazing! It is such a gorgeous location and the staff worked hard to please. The only thing to be mindful of is this is NOT near the action in Sa Pa-it is about a 250-300 dong can ride away in ta van which is a long bumpy road to get to. But if you’re looking for a quiet escape it is perfect! "

Location can be tricky to find (Google maps isn’t accurate) and road in can be tough for heavy luggages when coming up. Given fantastic food around, I would skip their breakfasts. But otherwise, fantastic place to stay after a body beating day of trekking around Sapa"

"The room was mouldy, we could see mould all over the walls. There was dust everywhere. The drains were not great, the water would go all over the bathroom and the toilet got blocked. The view was nice but people from next door could see into the room. Breakfast has very few options. Not worth the money we paid. "
