Great house and location

We stopped here for a quick two-night stay on our trip from Maine back to Cincinnati. Very cool location, literally yards from the water. Also loved having several restaurants and activities within walking distance.

Beautiful lake

Place was perfect. Had everything we needed and everything went super smooth. Had never been on this lake before and it was a beauty. Nice small town. Only stayed a weekend off season but would definetly go back again. Highly recommend.

Oneida Lake/Sylvan Beach mini vacation

The interior and exterior are well maintained. It was convenient to restaurants and casinos if interested. Most activities in the summer months, but mid Sept perfect for us. Our primary interest was the dock situated right in front of the property since we have a boat. I'd recommend this is communicated if both upstairs and downstairs guests have a boat. Ours was 20 foot and there was some extra room, but not enough for two vessels. We had a great time and would return.

Loved this place

Fantastic location. Right on the water, walking distance to everything. With being a block from the main road, this place was very quiet. The kids loved being able to fish right off the back dock. We would definitely stay here again.

A little bit of everything

The property was exactly as shown in the pictures. Amenities, views, kayaks, and location were all amazing. My kids loved fishing off the docks and kayaking. The beach, restaurants, and stores are all within walking distance and we would go back and forth all day long. Pirates Weekend was also a blast (did not know this was happening until after we booked, pleasant surprise). The property is well mantained and everything was neat and clean. Owner was very accommodating and didn't have any issues feeling safe and secure.

Centrally located

Perfect location to where we wanted to go. From going to the beach to watch the sunset to getting ice cream after dinner. My grandchildren learned how to navigate a kayak. We even were able to fish off the dock. It was a great stay in a great place. I would definitely go there again. Very comfortable and relaxing.

Review

Everything with this property was very nice. Nice location, nice kayaking location, nice owner. My only complaint, and the owner may not be aware, is the cleanliness of the property. While cleaning up, we pulled the bags out of the trash cans, the cans themselves were dirty. There were dust bunnies under the furniture. My son found an article of doll clothing under the couch, left by a previous guest that cleaners did not find. When we pulled the roll a way bed out of the closet there were dust bunnies and debris in the closet. I don’t think a cleaning fee is unreasonable, however I would expect to find the property cleaned better than I did.

Nice getaway

The property was great and as described. It is newly redone and clean and worked well for my family (two adults and one child). Having the waterfront and kayaks was great. When the unit upstairs is occupied, footsteps are heard, but it was ok for us. This is a nice nature getaway watching birds along the water and seeing tons of stars on clear nights.
